I was thinking over the conversation that me and Crystal had in the cafeteria and I was thinking why had she hesitated when she said the word life to me, that’s just creepy because everyone that I know doesn’t hesitate when they say the word, life, it’s just unnatural.
We were just getting ready for bed and Crystal kept walking up the bedroom, but I just ignored her. I settled down and drifted down to sleep. When I was asleep I kept seeing the vision of Daniel, Crystal and Jess they all had something in common but I just couldn’t figure out what it was their eyes...... perhaps not it was what they had in their hands, they were holding what looked like a cross but why would they all have a cross that’s also one of the unnatural things that I have seen as well today.
Before I knew it the 6:30 alarm bell went off, time for school.
“Wake up you sleepy head; do you want to be late on your first day?”
“Oh yeah, I’ll just go pack my bag then yeah?”
“Well I told you to do that last night didn’t I, stupid!”
So while she got ready I got my bag all packed up and got changed, very quickly in actual fact, record time! We then made our way down to the dining hall. I was still very tired and therefore couldn’t see properly! Today on the tables were fried egg, bacon and sausages. There was also porridge and many other delicious foods.
“Well then eat up we don’t want to be late for your first lesson now do we?”
I nodded to what seemed like a request but my eyes glanced over to Crystals left to find Daniel standing there with another mysterious looking boy. He looked like he was having a row with him. I remembered what had happened in my dream last night, Daniel wasn’t wearing the cross as a bracelet and in actual fact he was wearing it as a necklace. He began to walk towards me and Crystal and whispered something into Crystal’s ear. I could hear some of what they were saying and all I could hear was ‘she needs to find out sooner or later’ but what, and who, does he mean by that?
“Aurora it’s 7:15 let’s make our way to Spanish as it will take us a long time to get over there so come on NOW!!!!!!”
I let her drag me away but I still couldn’t help but think about the conversation that Daniel and her had had, it is just creeping me out this school is just unnatural, seriously!
We got to the Spanish corridor just in time, as we got there the bell went. And we went in...
Crystal turned to me as we entered the classroom
“ That’s Miss Fiddlesticks your new Spanish teacher you need to go up and tell her your name and she will then go on about all the other crap that you won’t need to know, but be careful she does spit so keep well back, OK?”
So I took Crystals advice, went up to the front not knowing what, was going to come next form the spitting teacher. As I walked towards her I could see what she really looked horrific! As she had really bad spots that almost looked like warts properly because they were warts.
“H-H-hello my name is Aurora E-E-Evergold and I am a new student to this school, I was told to come up her an-“
“I don’t need to know your life story all I need to know is your name, OK?” she shouted rudely interrupting what I was saying.
I was so embarrassed after that incident so I went to sit next to crystal as I was walking to the back I noticed a boy sitting there, I realised he was the boy with Daniel in the dining hall this morning, he had a very dark character to him and he looked like he wouldn’t look at me or anyone else in the class. He was sitting alone in the class and he lips looked they were sealed closed at least that what it looked like anyway.
He nodded at me as I went by which was quite odd because no one has done that to me, I noticed his necklace, the same sort of one that Daniel was wearing with the cross, looking round the class I’ve seen that pretty much everyone has a cross as either a bracelet or a necklace. Weird!
When is sat down next to crystal she seemed to’ve moved up the desk a little but I ignored that and carried on with what I was doing.
The bell went I was soooo glad it did as I can’t stand that teacher! It’s as if to say one down one hated, it’s an old saying that me and mum used to say, mum, oh mum, how I miss you soooo much.
The rest of the day went really slowly but I really wanted to get to dinner as I wanted to confront Daniel and demand to know what his problem was. With that dark character looking boy I meant. But when I went there he was a no show so I was going to try the confronting tomorrow instead then and that was fine by me! So I ate my dinner in silence not even talking to Crystal I couldn’t wait till later on, as Daniel was in my class!
But when we got to the last lesson of the day Daniel was yet again a no show, odd I thought as I pulled out my book of the stars, really, really strange in actual fact.
