So I met up with my friend Eliza. Once we boarded she asked me if I was excited.
I smiled but didn't say anything. I mean, she knew how much this all meant to me.
On the plane, Eliza fell asleep immediately. I felt bad for her because while I got the window seat she sat in the middle with a guy on the other side leaning on her and snoring in her ear.
I on the other hand, couldn't sleep. I was super excited. Even though I knew it was hours away I'd never been closer.
After a few minutes I put on my earphones and one of my favorite songs came on.
"Story Of My Life" by One Direction.
"The story of my life
I take her home
I drive all night
To keep her warm and time...
...is frozen..."
I whispered along before drifting off to sleep.
The next morning after breakfast, the pilot announced we'd be landing soon. I looked out the window and my heart nearly stopped. Below me was England itself. It was gorgeous and I was grinning like crazy.
Then we started the decent.
....
About two hours later it was about 8 in the morning and out class had finally sorted through the luggages and finally walked out of the airport as a group. There were about 60-70 of us I think. We boarded a prerented bus to head to the university in London.
"Eliza, do you see that?" I said excitedly as I saw the Tower Bridge in the distance.
"Cool and look," she pointed. "That Ferris wheel!"
"It's the Eye of London. Oh, look. An actual phone booth!" I grinned.
About half an hour later we arrived at the university. While everyone unloaded their things, an administrator came out and spoke through all the noise, though no one could understand her. Eventually, we figured out she wanted us to follow her to be assigned to our dorms for the next 3 months. Breathing in the fresh, chilly London air, we did as told.
Once things settled down, me and Eliza were unpacking out things in our room. It was a block away from the school and was pretty nice actually. It was really cozy with beige walls and earthy palette furnishings.
"Everyone here has that super cute accent," Eliza said. "I totally want to marry someone from here. "
I laughed. "Wow Eliza, you realize everyone here has an accent like that, right?"
"Still, it doesn't mean everyone's voice has to make you feel all warm inside," she smiled. "As long as one persons voice is the one you want hear over and over again..."
I thought about that for a moment. I didn't really understand what it meant but I smiled and nodded. "Anyway we have and exploration day today right?"
"Yes," she replied. "We get to go around London only. But we have a curfew."
"What time?"
"8:30 tonight," she explained. "Basically we can party for like 8 hours. "
We got dressed into more appropriate clothing and walked out when suddenly a guy that I recognized from the plane ride walked right in front of our room.
"Hey," he said. "Your the girl I sat next to in the plane right?" He asked Eliza ignoring me completely.
"Uh, yeah." Eliza said shyly. Could she actually have a crush on this snoring dude?
"Cool," he smiled. "Do you want to go hang out at Starbucks? It's across the street."
She looked at me. "Um, actually..."
"Oh," I said surprised. I guess she did. "No, no, go ahead I'll be okay. "
"Ok," she looked back at him. "I guess we can go. " so with her gone I left a few minutes later. There was no way I was gonna miss this chance to explore just because she wasn't here. I tucked my sketch book into my bag and left.
Ooh Big Ben isn't too far. Maybe I'll go there, I thought.
*Harry's POV*
I was walking around the beautiful London. My country's Capitol. It felt good to go to the heart of it every once in awhile. My bodyguards were in tow. I'd only brought 2 with me today. My friends were back at the hotel preferring to relax than walk about.
"Harry," Kyle, the buffer bodygaurd of the two appointed me. "There's a lot of people around right now. Put on your sunglasses and beanie. "
"But its not even sunny. " I sighed but did as told. He had a point. I'd be mauled alive if a crazy fan girl mob found me. And they always seemed to be looking.
"It's been awhile since we've eaten, harry. " Clint my other guard said.
"I'm not too hungry," I said."But we're close to Big Ben. There's some coffee shop around there if you want to stop by."
"Yeah okay." Clint smiled. He lived for his doughnuts.
As we approached the clock I grew a big nervous. There were a lot of people. But I was in a disguise. I'm fine.
"You guys go ahead, I want to just sit on a bench. " I said.
They grew uncomfortable.
"But we can't leave you..." Kyle muttered.
"I'll be fine look!" I pointed to the shop. "It's got a glass window and you can see me. It looks crowded in there anyway. "
"Ok but well hurry." Kyle and Clint ran off while I looked for and empty bench. There were so many full. Some had pigeon feeding people, people who were napping, and couples who we making out. Around the end of the line there was a girl with long hair that covered her face bent over as she was drawing furiously. She was alone.
That was good enough for me. She didn't look harmful.
Then I went up to her.
