A/N Next Chapter up. Fixing her relationships may be harder than she may have thought. Enjoy.
------------
The next day I was determined to put my life back together no matter what. M y first mission was to find Chels. It didn't take long because despite everything she really didn't break her routine.
"Hey, Chels, can I talk to you?" I asked pulling her away from whatever she was doing.
"Uh, sure, what's up?" She asked.
We took as walk away from everyone so I could talk to her more. "Well, I don't want to not talk anymore."
"Yeah I know what you mean." She said.
"Oh, good, does this mean friends again?" I asked hoping so.
"Of course." She said laughing and hugging me.
"Oh my gosh. Thank god cuz I miss my friend and I have so much I need to talk about and I was getting frustrated." I said sighing in relief.
She just laughed and I explained what has happened since we haven't talked. The hanging out with Max and up to last night. "...I mean he just left without saying a word. It was weird and I don't know what to do."
"Ok, first I like to say, I told you so." She said laughing but hen got serious. "And I don't exactly know what to tell you what he was thinking but maybe talk to him."
"I was going to do that but maybe not. It's just he runs at times like this and it's frustrating." I said. As soon I realized what I said I silently cursed myself out. I hadn't exactly told her everything and by the look on her face she was going to ask me everything.
"Ok, now what exactly haven't you told me?" She asked her face never changing.
Uh oh I was in trouble now. "Well one night when I first got here. Then the week after that and then the day he took me out." I said.
"Oh my gosh this has happened four times!" She yelled.
"Uh, yeah, but he always leaves and then it's like nothing has happened." I said with my head in my hands.
"Ok, so maybe he feels something but is trying not to." She said.
"Oh, thanks, that just makes it better." I said sarcastically.
"That's not what I meant. Maybe he just thinks, you know, his father and you equals trouble." She tried to explain.
"Ok, but Britt knows and she doesn't see anything wrong. But I still have to talk to him." I said.
"Ok, so one on your side and yes defiantly talk to him." She said.
"Ok, well now off to find him I guess." I said getting up.
We had said good bye and she went back to whatever and I looked down at the time and realized it was already noon time. God only knew where he would be now. The first place I started was his place and when he wasn't there I went to the beach. My luck would have it he was there and he wasn't alone.
It was his usual crowd of friends. I never knew why but he split off and started hanging with different group than Chels and I and it was worse than ours. I decided to go over there and try and talk to him. It was now or never. Ok not never but I needed to talk to him now.
When I got over there he was just laying there in the sun relaxing. As I walked over everyone was looking at me like I didn't belong. It was uncomfortable but I came here for Max. I was standing over him blocking the sun with my shadow until he looked up at me.
"Oh, hey, what's up?" He asked relaxing back again.
"Can we talk?" I asked and at that point everyone was watching us but I ignored them.
"Aren't we talking right now?" He asked sarcastically and his snickered and laughed.
"Ok, fine I guess when you want to talk you know where to find me." I said irritated and walked away.
I heard him sigh and get up to follow me but he didn't let me get to far before stopping me. "What's wrong now?" He asked.
"I don't know you tell me. How about every time we get close like last night you leave and act like nothing happened. It is so annoying and frustrating." I said getting upset.
He didn't say anything and that just made me that more angry. "Ok, fine whatever. I'll leave you alone but do me a favor and don't talk to me again." I said turning and just walked away. I willed myself not to cry no matter how much it hurt. Why did I have to feelings for him. I t just made me so angry.
When I was walking past his friends the look on their faces said they heard and a few girls had smirks on their faces. I wanted to smack each and everyone of them. As soon as I got to the end of the group Max had caught up to me and spun me around kissing me before I could react. I was shocked and saw the looks on the same girls faces matched mine.
It was over just at it began and he leaned down to whisper 'I do care and I don't know what you are doing to me. I'm sorry.''
I was still a little stunned but I finally was able to move and I ran. I ran away from him more confused now than before. he didn't follow this time and I didn't know what to do now.
For the rest of the day and night I was locked in my room no matter how hard anyone tried. Max never came but Chels did. I would tell her tomorrow. Now I was running from him. To confused for anything else I went to bed.
