Your POV

The snow carefully and slowly starts to fall from the grey sky. White flacks land on the ground coating it with a thin layer of snow.

It was oddly quiet, too quiet for the moment. The CDC, at least when I first got here, everything was so chaotic. The first part of the plan worked.

I distract Nicks group from returning to the CDC in time and Red attacks. The attack left Nicks group in quite the problem. The people were killed, kidnapped, and injured. I wasn't shocked, but that didn't mean the sight didn't surprise me.

I've known Red for years, but I had never seen as much destruction before. There was fire every where, parts of the building broke off and laid as an inconvenience on the ground. What was left of today's military were pulling people out of the rubble.

Nick and two other people I have met on our way, Ghetto and Shelby, had mortified looks on their faces. I had no words for this, the reason being I caused this.

I was the one that distracted them from coming back to make sure nothing got out of hand. All of this, all of Red's doings were out of hand. I can't help but feel something I haven't felt in so long. I felt so much guilt.

I shook those menacing thoughts out of my head. Red knows what his doing and I love him, it's my job to support him. Even if I don't agree with the outcomes or choices.

Nick went to talk with a general that was inspecting the damages. The conversation turned from one of concern to stern seriousness. I could only guess one thing to what they were talking about.

"It's about a man named Red" a voice behind me states.

I turn to see who the source of the voice was. Shelby was standing there with a pissed off look.

"Really who's that" I ask.

"You don't know" she questions.

I shake my head no and wait for her to tell me the answer that I already know.

"He is the leader of this cannibal group that has been slaughtering a bunch of people. Not to mention messing with people in our group" she took dangerous steps towards me.

"Sounds like a very dangerous man".

"Yeah. It's funny to me how the same day you stumble onto our party is the same day our base gets attacked" she throws in.

I try to keep my composure while she glares through my being. She's going to be a tough one to earn her trust. The plan is going to be completely thrown off because of her.

"I don't know what your implying but I don't work with cannibals".

"I really hope so. If not I will feel really bad for you when it catches up with you" she threatens.

That comment set me back a bit. I like the way she responded to situations like this, it's interesting. She's not a complete idiot, but her course of action is off.

"I hear you. I'd like to say the same though. I don't like when people jump down my throat like you" I respond back.

She looks taken back, then opens her mouth to say something. However, she stops herself and turns to walk away. That didn't seem like her persona.

I turn to take a look around before going to see this doctor they have. Red was right again, except for Shelby. She's going to more difficult then planned.

I wonder what I can do to keep her from running her mouth. Decisions, decisions.

I'm sorry this was a little shorter than what I usually write. I hope it was a good chapter. I promise a bigger chapter tomorrow.
