chapter one i meet a boy named Ben

My name is James. i am 12 years and i just moved to Derry because my dad died and my mom Said she needed to get away from where we lived in Texas because it maes her too sad. Having to leave my Texan farm and all my cows and horses and chickens and goats made me depressed but I did it so my mom could be happy. We are poor now because we got all our money from the farm and now we dont have it, but thats okay. WE came in the middle of the school year and it was very hard for me because i didnt even have any friends in my old school how was i supposed to make friends here!!!?!??!?!?! Even worse, there are very mean bullies named Henry bowers Patrick hocksteretter vic Criss and like some other mean boys idk i DOnt like them. But now it is summer and i dont know what to do since i have  no friends! oh well i guess i will go to the library.

i walked down the street to the library. On the way there i walked right past Henry bowers hiding behind stuff But i didnt know!!! Anyway i went into the library and was greeted quietly by the nice old lady who was the librarian. I went back and forth between the rows of books looking for something interesting. I wasnt paying attention to where I was going and Suddenly! i ran into someone and we both fell down and his books went all over the place. 

"sorry sorry sorry!", i said!! "i am such a clumsy."

"it's okay!" the boy Said and smiled at me warmly

I helped him picke up his books and only then Did i get a good look at him. He was chubby and had nice dark eyes and a smile as warm and soft as a fresh bowl of mashed potaoes. His hair was light brown and kind of swoopy he was cute.

"Whats your name? ", I said. "I'm james."

"ben. ben hanscom."

"Cool! So what have you got there?", i asked. " I always have trouble finding good books, even though I like reading hehe."

"Just some stuff i thought looked neat you can look at it if you want. Im off to get a postcard that i want to give to someone special..." he said blushing, he seemed distracted like he wanted to get away so he could write his dumb postcard.

oh...does he like someone else? i thought. That made me sad he is probably straight anyway wait did i mention i am gay but maybe bi because maybe i like girls sometimes.

Anyway, a little bit later when I was walking out of the library I noticed that he was walking out to. I waited up for him and was gonna talk to him some more but SUDDENLY! Henrey Bowers jumps out!

"YOu leave us alone henry bowers!". i said. I had already had enough of his bullying this year.

Henry and his friends tried to get us but I beat them all up and they were all unconsiocs.

"wow...", ben said said and looked at me with admiration. "that was amazing, thank you.. want to walk home with me?" He looked down and blsushed even redder than before. "I mean, only if you want to,,"

I went home with him and we sat in his room and read books and talked and it was really f un. I had just made my first Derry friend and possibly more than friend...but little did i know there were 5 more sexy loser boys and 1 sexy loser girl still for me to meet!
