A fourteen year old brunette with her hair tied up in a high ponytail stared up at the school building, Casper High. She couldn't believe she let her parents convince her to move back to Amity Park after what she went through in middle school. However that is all in the past, she was different now, so different no on will recognize her till her name is spoken.
The young teen let out a deep breath and entered the high school. She was late on her first day because she was too busy applying her makeup in her room. Her schedule was sent to her through her mail so she didn't have to stop by the office to pick it up, which meant she could head right to her first class, chemistry, that was taught by someone named Mr. Lancer.
Her teal eyes eyed the room number and looked down at her schedule and they matched up. She took to a deep breath and entered the classroom, hating all the sudden eyes on her.
"You're late...Ms. ..." Mr. Lancer looked down at his clipboard, "Quinn."
She shrugged, "I got lost on my way to class."
"I see." Mr. Lancer nodded with a look that said he doesn't believe her, "Well I just assigned everyone their lap partners, except for.." He looked down at his clipboard again, "Mr. Fenton."
"Huh?" A boy her age with black hair and ice blue eyes blinked snapping out his daze.
"Ms. Quinn, take a seat next to your lab partner please." Mr. Lancer instructed.
The girl nodded and walked towards him her black cheer skirt swaying with every step she took. When she took her seat, she knew her partner was openly staring at her, so she looked over at him and said, "Uh hi, mind not staring so much?"
The boy blushed and quickly averted his eyes, "Uh sorry, you just uh you kinda look like an old friend of mine." He cleared his throat and gave her a shy friendly smile, I-I'm Danny, Danny Fenton."
"Oh I know who you are." She said still looking forward, "I know everyone here, you still look the same from middle school."
"What?"
"Mr. Fenton! Less chatting and more writing!"
When the bell finally rang dismissing the class, the girl was approached by the two popular girls the minute she stepped out.
"Oh my gosh, I just love that top you're wearing!" A Hispanic looking girl gushed.
"And your makeup is totally looking gorgeous." A blonde girl next to her said.
"I think she's hot enough to join us, right Star?" The black haired Hispanic girl smirked at her blonde friend.
"I think so Paulina." Star smirked back.
"I'm sorry what?" The brown hair girls teal eyes darkened as she recognized who she was talking to.
"Silly we're asking you to join us, you're like pretty enough to fit in with us popular kids." Paulina rolled her eyes playfully and smiled, "So what do you say...uh what's your name?"
The girl was about to flat out refuse before an evil plan came into her mind and she forced a smile on, "Emma, my name's Emma."
"Great see you at our lunch table, Emma!" Paulina grinned and strutted away with Star at her side.
Emma's smile turned into a smirk and she walked over to her locker. When she got to her locker she opened it and put her textbooks inside, only grabbing the textbook she needed for her next class. Not noticing three teens staring her way.
"I don't know what it is but she looks totally familiar," Danny scratched his head in confusion.
His best friend, Tucker laughed, "Yeah right, like you could be associated with someone that hot."
Sam shook her head, "First day of highschool, and he's already getting over his first crush."
"But that's the thing! For some reason she kinda resembles Emma." Danny sighed sadly, "Any word from her yet?"
The other two looked down in sadness, "No."
Danny sighed again, "I thought so..."
The warning bell rang meaning they had a minute to get to class.
"Look its our first day and let's focus on that. We can worry about Emma later." Sam said and started pushing the two boys to class, "Now let's go I don't want to be late to class.
~~~LUNCH TIME~~~~
It was lunch time and Emma closed her locker and a heard the locker next to her close as well. She looked over and was shocked to see it was Danny."Uh...hey." Danny smiled shyly, "How's it going?"
"Fine." She answered dryly and started walking away.
"Hey wait up!" Danny yelled and caught up with her walking by her side, "So umm, how's your class been?"
"Fine." She answered and glanced at him, "Why are you talking to me?"
"Is that a problem?" Danny questioned raising an eyebrow.
"Not really, it was just a curious question." Emma shrugged nonchalantly.
"So since we're going to be lab partners for the rest of the year, why don't you tell me your name?" Danny suggested as the two arrived at the open cafeteria doors.
"You don't remember me do you?" She asked her eyes showing a bit of hurt.
Before Danny could respond, someone cut their conversation off.
"Yoohoo! Emma! Come sit with us popular kids!" Paulina waved from her table of jocks and cheerleaders.
"Emma?" Danny repeated then his eyes widen with realization, "Quinn...Emma Quinn...Emma?!"
"Nice to see you again Daniel." She smirked and strutted her way over to the popular clique table and started laughing with them.
"She's back?" Danny said in shock and numbly walked over to table where Sam and Tucker were sitting at.
"What's with the spaced out look, dude?" Tucker asked confused.
"Yeah it looks like you saw a ghost." Sam added.
"She's back..." Was Danny could say in shock.
"Who is?" Sam asked.
"Emma...Our Emma is back."
