Chapter 2

The party is cool. Music lit and more people showed up. I was sitting on the edge of the pool with a drink in my hand. Looking around the pool, chilling, until some one sat beside me. I looked over and it was Tre. I rolled my eyes and watched my cousin and Nina splashing each other.

"So you not gonna say anything to me." He said catching my attention.

"Why should I?" I asked taking a sip from my cup.

"You right. I was just trying to be nice."Tre said taking a sip from his cup. And the alcohol smell was strong.

"That stinks." I said looking at his cup.

"You wanna try some?" I looked at him like he was crazy. Like do he even have a brain.

"I'm 16. I'm not old enough to drank." I said with a little attitude.

"Come on, one little sip ain't gonna hurt you."He said pushing the cup my way. I looked at the cup then at him. I rolled my eyes taking the cup, I took the smallest sip possible. It was a harsh taste, burning the shit out of my throat. I started coughing a little and handed the cup back to him.

"What is that?" I asked frowning my face, watching him laugh.

"Just a lil henny."He said smiling at me. I shook my head and looked out at the sky.

"Sooo, what's up with you and party boy." he asked sipping his drink again.

"What cha mean?" He looked at me and laughed.

"Are y'all like dating or something?" I looked at him. Why is he worried about who I date.

"And if I did?" I didn't mean for to come out so smart.

"Nun wrong with that I was just asking." He said sliding into the pool, "You coming in?" he looked at me setting his cup on the side of the pool.

" I guess." I stood up and unbutton my shorts and walked over to my cousin and Nina stuff. I took off shorts and walked back over to the edge. Tre was staring really hard. I laughed and jumped in right beside him. Swimming up I looked at him and laughed.

"Oops. Did I get you wet?" Laughing as he mugged me. Shaking my head I swam to Sal and Nina.

"Mhm, I saw you and Tre over der talking." Nina said making Sal laugh.

"He didn't want to know anything, but what was up with me and Jordan." I said standing on up.

"He might be jelly." Sal said using second grade terms.

"Yeah did you see the way he was looking at you. He still looking now." We all turned and looked at him talking with his friends. But he was staring kind of hard. Shrugging I really didn't care.

"Hey boo." I heard behind me.

"Hey Jordan." I said hugging him.

"You ladies enjoying the party?" He asked looking at my friends.

"Yes your home is beautiful." Sal said looking around, but more at the boys walking pass.

"Yeah, by the way I'm Nina." She said while looking at me.

"And I'm Sally or Sal for short." She finished.

"Thanks cause I know she didn't want to introduce nobody." They all looked at me, "But my name is Jordan." He finished.

"Okay my bad for not introducing y'all." They all gave me the same look.

"Well anyway I got something for you upstairs." I looked at him weirdly, "It's your birthday gift." He said looking at me.
