A couple weeks into school and no matter what Danny does, he can't seem to get Emma to answer his questions about her disappearance. She either ignores him outside of class, always near the popular clique, and when in class she's too busy doing her work. He even had Sam and Tucker try but aside from a quick hi, they get nothing. If that wasn't bad enough whenever she was with the popular kids she turned into a cliché mean girl, and joins in dissing him and his friends. It was starting to frustrate him and his friends could tell.

"I just don't get it!" Danny groaned slamming his head onto the table during Lunch.

"She's popular now, what's not to get? We got replaced simple as that." Sam stabbed her salad in anger.

"Strange considering, Emma always hated popular kids." Tucker shrugged, "It's amazing what a complete makeover can do to someone."

"I got it!" Danny's head shot up in excitement, "I know how I can get Emma alone to talk!"

"Danny I know she was your first crush and all, but I don't think she's going to be herself again." Sam said, "She's completely different now."

"That's not our Emma though." Danny shook his head, "The Emma we knew was the complete opposite of this new persona and I'm going to get her back." He smirked and leaned forward, "I got a plan, so listen up."

~~~~~~~The Next Day~~~~~~~
"So if we're working on chemistry homework, then why are we in your parents basement." Emma asked then looked around, "Let me rephrase that your parent's lab. Are they still obsessed with ghosts?"
"Yeah unfortunately they are." Danny sighed.
"Oh this is so cool! What is it?" Emma walked over to the large portal entrance, "Look at the steel work on this and oh my gosh does it have an ecto-filtrator?" She gushed and suddenly remembered Danny was in the room and coughed shooting him a fake smile, "I mean looks like an empty piece of junk, he he.."
"Emma.." Danny shook his head in disappointment, "What happened?"
"What do you mean?" She asked not meeting his eyes.
"You know exactly what I mean." He glared at her, "Why did you leave without so much as a goodbye?"
"That's none of your concern!" She glared back as she crossed her arms.
"It is when you suddenly come back and treat Tucker, Sam, and I like strangers and suddenly are best friends with the popular kids! What happened to you Emma?! This isn't like you!"
"People change Danny and have I!" She snapped and said softly, "And I've changed for the better."
"But Emma, what was wrong with you before?" Sam's voice entered the scene.
Emma gasped and looked to see Sam and Tucker coming out from behind some metal crates.
"Yeah, you were one of the smartest kids in our class." Tucker reminded.
"Look that was all in the past!" Emma closed her eyes and grabbed her head in denial, "I am different now, I'm happy now." She opened her eyes and looked over at Danny, "And if we're not here for chemistry work then I'm leaving."
When no one said anything Emma grabbed her bag and climbed up the stairs and out of the basement. She hesitated going any further though and sighed standing in place. She wasn't going to lie, she missed hanging with them. She missed going to goth events with Sam, she miss geeking out with Tucker over new technology, and she really misses spending time with Danny, but in order for her to get revenge she needs to hang with the popular kids.
She shook her head and was about to take another step forward, until she heard Danny screaming in pain.
"Danny!" She cried dropping her bag and running back down into the basement to see Danny stumble onto the floor and the portal now operating with green glows of swirls in it. "What happened to him?!"
"He went inside the portal, accidently turning it on, and got electrocuted." Tucker explained.
Emma kneels down in front of him and gasps noticing his hair was snow white and his eyes were glowing green, "Oh my gosh..."
"Danny? Are you okay?" Sam asked slowly.
All of sudden, Danny turned invisible then visible again.
"I'm taking that as a no." Emma noted and when she touched his shoulder, her hand went through him as he turned intangible. She pulled her hand back and watched him turn tangible again.
That's when a two white rings of flight formed around the middle of his body and went over him and he was back to looking like his normal self.
Danny groaned and looked at us with icy blue eyes, "W-What just happened?"
"Not sure, but whatever it is we'll get to the bottom of it." Emma said with determination.
