Happiness That I Search For

Part 1

Hyojin's POV

"Bye,mum!" I said to my mum. I kissed her cheeks and then start my walk to the school

I put on my earphone and then listen to a few songs so that I don't get bored walking to the school

"Hyojin!!!" Someone tap my shoulder as I'm jamming to the song that I listen to.I look at the person and smile immediately after I saw her. It's my best friend, SoEun. It has been 2 weeks after I saw her because of the school break

"SoEun.." I smile at her. We continue our walk to the school together while talking about our school break

Suddenly, SoEun ask me something that is not in common

"Hyojin-ah, do your ever see your dad with another woman?"

SoEun's question make me feeling so shocked. Why did she ask me that kind of question all of sudden?

"No,never.Why did you ask me this kind of question, SoEun?"

"Erm... nothing. Forget about it. Let's go, we had arrived!" She said. But I still feeling curious. I think that there's something about my father that she doesn't want me to know. But I have to know about it. I will ask her later.

Finally.... the best time at school... Lunch time! SoEun and I went to the canteen together. This is my chance to ask her about the question that she asked me about my father.

"SoEun, can I ask you something?"

"Sure" She answered

"Why did you ask me if I ever see my father with another woman?" SoEun seem to be a bit shocked after I asked her the question

"Hyojin...sorry but I can't tell you about this. Didn't I told you to just forget about this?" She said

" But this is about my father... I need to know... please tell me... we promised that there will be no secret between us, right?" I'm trying to make her tell me about the thing

"But-" I cut her talk immediately

"Please SoEun.... I'm begging you...."

"Hyojin, okay... I'll tell you.. actually, last night my family and I went for a dinner at a restaurant. On the way home, we saw your father with a woman together. They are seem to be so close and kind to each other. That's why I ask you about your father..." She explained to me

I can't believe what SoEun just said to me

"Maybe she is just his friend? Or employee?" I said to SoEun

"Erm... maybe? Nah! Just ignore it! Let's eat our food. Do not worry about it..." SoEun said. I know that she is trying to make me feel better. But I still have a bad feeling about this. I can feel that something will happen to my family soon. Something that is so bad.

When I arrived home, I am a bit shocked to see my father's car in front of the house. He's supposed to be at his work place now but why his car is here? I think positively. Maybe he left something? I ignore it and went to my room immediately. There are no one in the house because both of my parents are working

I put my backpack on my chair and get a shower. And then I throw myself on my bed.

"Huh.... today is so tiring..." I sighed.I fell asleep as soon as I lay on my bed.

I woke up and it's 4.00 p.m. now. I feel very hungry. I went downstairs to cook some food and see my father's car still in front of the house and there is also my mother's car. I was so shocked to see both of my parents' car

"Hurm... Maybe there's something that they have to do" I said and go to the kitchen

I walk past my parents' room and hear a sound like... a bickering? I stop walking and put my ear at the door, trying to know what is happening in the room

"I saw it with my own eyes that you were with her but you still trying to deny it?!" I heard my mother said

"I told you that she is just my employee... You're just overreact!"

"What employee if you kiss her?!! You're cheating on me!!! I hate you!!!!" I can feel that my mother is crying right now.

It silent for a while. And then my father start talking again

"It's up to you either you want to believe me or not. I have work to do so I need to go" My father said

"Divorce me" I'm truly shocked by what my mother said

"Okay, then. If that what you want." My father said to her

He opened the door and see me standing in front of the door. My parents seem a bit shocked to see me

"Hyojin...." My father said

I look at him and ask him

"Dad, is it true? You're cheating on mum?" He do not answer my question so ask him again

"Is it true? Answer me please..." I can't hold back my tears. I start to cry

"Yes. And I will divorce her" He answered and get out from the house

I look at my mother and start to feel very upset. I get into my room and lock the door. I am so angry but sad at the same time. I cry as loud as I can. I can't accept that my family's gonna ruin soon
