Joe's pov
All I could hear was Vanessa screaming from someone and then I heard a loud thud. There was quiet and then I started to hear dragging, but no voice of Vanessa. I wanted to scream something, make that person stop. But I knew that would be no help.
I would only make things worse. Slowly, the footsteps got less heavier and I figured they were leaving. I hurriedly grabbed my keys and rushed to Dan and Phil.
There was a tall man standing at the door as I made my way through the alley. "State your purpose." He looked sternly at me but I had no time for games, this was urgent.
"Look, I don't have time for any fucking games. This is important and I need to see Dan and Phil!" I tried moving to the door but he blocked me and chuckled.
The door opened and Phil peered through the crack. He smiled when he saw me and opened the door wider. "He's fine, let him in."
The man moved away, grunting as Phil let me through. He shut the door and grabbed my arm, leading me to Dan's office. "Joe, got any news?" Dan said casually as he spun around in his chair to face me.
"Look, Vanessa just called me from this phone number. She said you guys could track her location with it." I showed Dan the number and he immediately grabbed my phone and began typing something on his computer.
"This is perfect. She must've done something risky to get this." Dan smiled as numbers started to appear on his screen, something I didn't understand.
"She said she heard someone in the house and then I heard her screaming. Then I think she got hit and blacked out. We need to find her!" I started pacing around the room, running a hand through my hair.
Phil walked over to me and put his arm around my shoulder. "Hey, it's going to be okay. We'll find the location, get her home, and make sure David and his people don't do this again." Phil darkly smiled which made me shiver.
I could hear Dan chuckling to himself and I wondered if they were insane. Maybe they're just happy that Vanessa will finally be safe. I'm hoping that's the reason they're acting so dark.
I walked over to Dan, peering over his shoulder as a bunch of numbers and letters ran through the screen. Then, a small box appeared reading 'enter code'. He typed in the phone number and slowly the data started to load.
A picture of a small house appeared on the screen along with information and coordinates. Dan typed the coordinates onto another screen and the address popped up.
Dan turned to me and smirked, his eyes becoming dark. "Alright Joe, looks like we have some work to do."
Vanessa's pov
I slowly woke up and looked around. I was laying on the bed, wrapped in blankets. It felt warm in here.
I smiled and rubbed my eyes, something didn't feel right. I looked at my hands but noticed nothing was on them but for some odd reason they felt empty. I shrugged and stood up on the bed, the blanket falling off of me.
I was dressed in a red velvet chemise but I don't remember putting this on. In fact, I don't remember much of what has been happening. Is this my home?
Someone walked in and I recognized who he was. It was David, he had been taking care of me right? "Well look who's awake. Do you remember anything?" He smiled and made his way towards the bed, sitting next to me.
"No, not really. Everything is sort of a blur." I smiled unknowingly, taking in what has just happened.
"Then let me help, you went into a room that you weren't supposed to go into. I had to stop you from doing anything because I told you not-"
"To go snooping around! Yes, I remember! One of your guys hit me which is making me forget things! I bet I have a fucking concussion." I grumbled as the details slowly started to come to my mind. It was earlier in the day and I was acting sly.
I can't remember why I was acting like that. It must've been for a good reason or else I wouldn't be doing that. Why can't I remember anything!?
"Right. So do you remember anything else?" He leaned forward and I backed away slowly. I was starting to think I wasn't in my home and something else was going on here.
"No, I don't know why I'm here or where I am. Can't you just fix me?" I was desperate and I wanted to get out of here. I just had a strange feeling about being in this place. It didn't feel right.
"Oh, I'll fix you. You'll be just fine by the time I'm done with you." David grinned and made his way towards me. I bit my lip and backed away, getting off the bed as he backed me into a wall.
"What are you doing? Don't come any closer." I was starting to feel there was something going on that I didn't know about.
"I won't do anything to hurt you kitten." That word. That word made me remember.
Everything started to come back to me but I was missing something. I just can't remember why I went down into 'the room' or why David is acting so possessive. I need to get out.
"No! I know what you're doing. Leave me alone. Don't come near me or touch me." I glared at him and smacked his hand away as he tried to grab me.
"So you remember now? You're not calling for Joe to come save you though." He smiled which made me confused.
"Joe? Who's Joe?"
As I was trying to remember, David grabbed me and pushed me onto the bed. He climbed on top of me and reached for the bedstand, opening a drawer and pulling out a rope. I tried to resist but I was no use.
He successfully tied me to the bed as I screamed for help. "Let me go! Please, this is wrong!" I struggled underneath him but he wouldn't move.
"I've been waiting a long time for this kitten. It seems like you've forgotten your hero which is good news for me. You didn't let me do this before but now, no one can save you. You're all mine tonight." He smirked and began to kiss me. His lips grazed along my jaw and he bit at my skin.
I hissed from the pain and I was sure there would be a mark there. There was no way out of this. He pulled my chemise up and gagged me with it, his hands traveling along my body.
My eyes were beginning to water and I was whimpering. How did I get stuck in this situation? What did I do to deserve this?
No one is coming to save me. I'm all alone. I have no hope left.
