Closed Eyes chapter 1

  Stella's POV

  "Felicia! Come here and help me with these boxes of protein shake to the store!" I hollered. She dragged her feet and languidly walked towards me. My impatient self tried to calm myself down so I closed my eyes hoping that when I opened them, Felicia will be in front of me. 10, 9, 8.....3, 2, 1. I opened my eyes, just as expected she is still taking her time walking to help me. "Felicia! Can you hurry up?" I said annoyed, " we are opening soon and we need to get this place clean." She quickened her steps and we packed the boxes into the store in a few minutes.

  It was the opening of Theddeus' gym. Who's Theddeus? He is a good friend of both Felicia and mine. We knew him through Taekwondo lessons when we were young and still kept in touch with him. Likewise for our other friend, JD. And as for Felicia, I pretty much knew her since I was 4. So that made us best friends. We all agreed to help Theddeus run his gym as we all loved working out and keeping fit and we all needed a place to work in.

  After our working shift was over, we all ate dinner together. "Felicia, when are you gonna get into a relationship?" JD mentioned teasingly. Felicia rolled her eyes and shoved a piece of nugget into his mouth. "Felicia, you better get a boyfriend, if not you'll die a virgin ." Theddeus "advised" while putting his hand around JD's shoulders. "Dude, shut up and eat your own food." Felicia snapped. I patted her back, " Well I have a friend who is single, I could introduce him to you if you wanted to."

Felicia's POV

  I felt irritated by the constant teasing from my "lovely" friends. "Yeah maybe I should do that," I faked a smile towards Stella. "Then it's settled," she assured me. I'm gonna regret this so much. "It's ok maybe he is cute," I muttered to myself.

Stella's POV

  I immediately messaged Matthias, the friend I was gonna introduce to Felicia. He agreed and wanted to meet her the next day. "Girl, he wants to meet you tomorrow, so dress up nicely and go for your date." She gave me the "seriously" look. "Just go it will be fun, if he mistreats you," Theddeus punched his fists together, "he'll die." We all hummed and nodded in agreement.
  Soon enough, the day has passed by quickly and it was time for Felicia's date with Matthias. I went to her house to help her choose a "suitable" clothing for her date. I picked a sweet light blue dress for her and did her make up lightly and I brought her to the cafe where Matthias was waiting. When we reached, "Stella, I don't think this is a good idea." Felicia panicked as she walked. "Don't worry, if you feel uncomfortable, call me I'll be nearby and I can bring you home." I comforted her, " if he does anything that invades your privacy, tell me I'll beat the crap out of him." Felicia snickered and started laughing like a retarded seal. "I know I can always count on you," she said. I saw Matthias in the cafe and pushed Felicia towards the entrance and motioned her to head into the cafe. She took a deep breath before walking in.

Felicia's POV

  When I walked into the cafe, my heart was beating like there was no tomorrow. Nervous sweat trickled down my back. I scanned the cafe to look for the same face as the picture in my phone. "Felicia, over here," a friendly looking gentleman waved his hands as he called me. "Oh. Hi my name is Felicia," I walked to towards him with my hand ready to shake his hand. " Hi, my name is Matthias, you can call me Matt." I took my seat and ordered my food. At first it was awkward as hell and just kept fidgeting and squirming around in my seat. "So how did you know Stella?" Matt decided to start talking. Then I told him like literally my whole life story since I met Stella and laughed together at Stella's weird times.

  "Oh golly look at the time! It's late I've gotta go now," I checked my watch and was ready to leave. "Wait! I haven't got your number yet! How are we gonna contact each other for our next date?" Matt held my wrist and turned me around. Our eyes met. It was as if I was looking into his soul. My heart was racing and beating crazily. "Urm you could just go ask Stella for it, I really need to leave now." I wriggled my hand out of his grip and strutted out of the café.

Matthias' POV
'Woah was it me or that she is so freaking gorgeous?' I felt my heart beat 1000km per hour. I was going crazy for her now. They way she looked at me, felt like she had known me for a long time. Her eyes shone brighter than the stars at night. Her lips so small, so delicate. Her hair falls perfectly down the sides of her small face. What a goddess!

//BACK HOME//
I called Stella to ask for Felicia's number.
Matt: Hey Stella my man, I called to ask for Felicia's number.

Stella: Okay firstly I am not your man, secondly why didn't you ask for her number and thirdly you just disturbed my K-Drama.

Matt: Well I'm sorry, she left in a hurry when I was about to ask for her number. And she asked me to ask you for it. And you should stop watching poisonous people falling in love and shit happens and they separate and then fall in love again.

Stella: Shut it, it's because you ain't know how to appreciate it. Anyways how was your date?

Matt: Well she's gorgeous and her personality is just amazing.

Stella: Glad to hear that. I'll be messaging you her number. And remember, if you make her cry or anything I'll rip your head off.

Matt: Woah chill girl, I'll take good care of her.

Stella: You better. Gotta go, bye idiot.

*ding*
  My phone screen lit up again, and I saw Felicia's number sent to me. Woah. What do I do now? I'm dying to message her but she'll find me a creep. Urghhhh. Should I message her? I started pacing up and down my living room, thinking of an appropriate message to send her. 'Hey beautiful, I had fun today, hope to see you soon!' NOOOO, it's so cheesy OMG SOMEONE SLAP ME PLEASE. Finally I sent this: 'Hi Felicia, Matt here. I had fun today with you, hope we can hang out again!! Good night!!" I switched off my phone and threw it on the coffee table, waiting for her reply. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.

Felicia's POV
  I was just coming out of the shower when my phone sounded. It was a message from an unknown number. "Ah, I don't think it is important." I said to myself and left my phone charging at my desk and went to the kitchen to make some warm milk before I went to sleep.

Matt's POV
  OMG WHY ISN'T SHE REPLYING YET? DOES SHE HATE ME OR SOMETHING? SHOULD I CALL HER? OMGGGGG!! EISH FUCK IT I'M JUST GONNA CALL HER. I dialled her number and called her. "Toot toot, toot toot, toot toot." I was just about to hang when...

Felicia: H...hello??

Matt: O..oh hi Felicia, M...Matt here. If you are w...wondering where I got your number from, it's Stella.

Felicia: Oh so you are the unknown number who messaged me.

Matt: U...Urm yea, I was wondering why you didn't reply me yet s...so I decided to call you. I just wanted to tell you that I had fun today and w...we should hang out soon. Anyways r..rest well! Good night!!

Felicia: Oh alright, I mean we could hang out soon and good night!!

  We hung up and my heart was about to jump out of my chest. Even her voice is perfect. I went to bed and smiled happily at my phone. 'Matt, looks like you've found the one.'

Felicia's POV
  I was drinking my milk when my phone started ringing. 'Weird, who'd call me so late at night?' I thought to myself while picking up my phone. "Oh it's the unknown number, wonder who is it."
