"I'd love to!" said my mom after I told her the Hokkaido thing. "Nico, you're the best! This is going to be the best birthday party ever."
"You looked excited mom, I'm glad to see that." I showed my sincere smile to her.
"Your siblings would love to hear it also." her smile suddenly faded. "But I wish dad is still here."
Oh no, not this topic again.
"Please mom, don't bring this up again. It's saddening me."
"I know, I just... I imagine what would it be like if he's still here..."
"Yeah, me too mom. But, lets not talk about this topic in the wrong moment." I took a deep breath. "I know you missed him so much. I forbid you to talk about him not because I don't care, but I don't want that to ruin this moment. This moment of happiness."
"I'm sorry." She apologized. Guilty suddenly hits me.
"Lets just pack your things, okay?" I grabbed her shoulders.
"Okay." We both headed to our rooms and pack things up.
19:00
We arrived at Hokkaido, the place looks great just from the window plane. Nozomi said she'll pick us up.
"Nicochii!" AHHHHH! Someone scared the crap out of me by hiting my shoulders.
"Nozomi!!" I yelled, frustrated.
"Is this your mother?" she leaned beside my ear, whispering.
I nodded and introduce her to mom and my siblings. After doing such thing, we headed to Nozomi's car that's parked in front of the airport.
Her car is comfortable. I like it. Nozomi and my mom was having fun chatting while on the road. Mom's party is going to be held tomorrow at a fancy restaurant. Nozomi is going to do all of the preparation. She's so nice, but can be a jerk sometimes.
An hour later, we made it in front of the hotel. The hotel is not that luxurious, but it looks comfortable to live in. Though I preferred it to be more luxurious.
"So, Nico. You can stay in room 324, your mom and your siblings can stay in room 325. Is that alright?" Nozomi asked me. We are in the main hall at the moment. My mom and my siblings are playing with each other. They looked cute.
"Yeah, it's fine. Thanks for paying the hotel Nozomi, I can do it by myself to be honest but I'm totally grateful." I smiled at her.
"Sure, no problem."
The next day...
Oh my, the steak tastes good. I'm eating my breakfast with my family and gosh I loved it. They also liked it. I preferred this steak rather than the 5 star hotels' food. Is that weird?
"Mom, do you want anything for your birthday?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"Nope, I'm already happy you made my birthday party in Hokkaido. It's too much." She said honestly. "Thank you."
"No need to thank, mom. Besides, Nozomi is the one who prepared this all. We should definitely thank her."
"Yep, we should."
At night, the party is settled. Mom's friends came and wish her a happy birthday. She looks genuinely happy while opening the presents her friends gave her.
The party is simple. There are no decorations that are too pierced. It's elegant and simple, most of it are gold colored. Everything's perfect.
"So, do you like it?" Nozomi appeared behind me in a sudden while I'm standing at the corner of the room.
