I think most of us don’t need an overture about Chetan Bhagat.

But let me brief, He’s author of three block buster novels Five Point Someone, One night @ call centre, 3 Mistakes of my life, an alumni of IIM A turned full time writer after his two years work at HSBC.  Must say, He is not just a writer but a youth icon too, at least for me

Coming back to the subject matter, Two States is his 4th effort which is a simple love story and must say to some extent it involves Chetan's own love story too. The story gyrates around Krish, a North Indian Punjabi boy and Ananya, an Iyer Brahmin from Chennai, their love during their MBA @ IIM. The point is, as they don’t want to elope, they choose to convince their parents for their marriage inspite of their different clans or communities. Krish had struggled lot to make his love success to marry Ananya. During this course, he compromised choosing his work place to chennai, never minded waking up early morning to train his brother in law for IIT, helped his father in law in his troubles and  after all his good travails, they finally persuade their parents and got married to Ananya.

A simple and realistic love story with Chetan's remarkable narration. People who are committed may like the book and could relate themselves to the story.

I personally don’t feel like this book is gripping and not as worthy as his previous ones were, but all in all it’s not a bad read. At least, Reading (anything) is not bad at all.
