Chapter 5: Bestfriend

Thalia's POV

It's already Monday. What happened last Saturday night sure was a thing. Whenever I think of the fact that I was in love with Chad, just made my heart skip a beat. I mean look, it has only been a week since I made friends with Chad. But I fell in love already! How sheepish is that!? It's ridiculous I know.

But whenever I see him, my stupid heart just can't be in peace. It jumps up and down causing my hands to sweat.

I'm going to end whatever feelings I feel for Chad.

Yup. I'm gonna do that.

"Hey Thalia." Chad came up to my locker where I was standing completely still avoiding eye contact. "Is anything wrong, Lia?" Just dont say my name for Petes sake! The feels!!

I quickly turn away from facing Chad. I was not ready to face him. For what reason, Lia? my inner conscience spoke."Oh just shut up." I whispered to myself. But unfortunately, the whisper was too loud I guess because afterwards Chad said, "Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb on whatever you are doing."

Great. Just great.

Chad turned the other way around and walked away after waving his hand and gave me a sly smile.

I do not know on what I just did. I'm a horrible person, I know.

Lunch came earlier than I thought. I didn't pay much attention to class since it was boring.

Mrs. Rider, my homeroom teacher, called me for some reason. I went to the faculty room and saw her writing something. I then went near her and as soon as she saw me, she gave a me friendly smile.

"Ms Reign there you are. Principle Gliro wants to see you in his office."I blinked as I heared her say that. Confusion filled in. What did the principle want? Did I do something unwanted? Did I cheat!? Or was I caught skipping class?? WHAT? I never skip class.

I walked over to his office and once I entered the room, raspberry perfume was the scent my nostrills first smelled. It was a very familiar scent I tell you.

"Lia!!" a girls voice from behind startled me. I thought it was ghost but when I looked back...

"Avril!!!!" Avril Blanchard. My bestfriend since forever was standing right infront of me. "Avril, what a surprise! What're are you doing here!?" not to sound rude but I actually did sound rude. "I transferred silly." She let out a chuckle and hugged me tight. "C'mon, lets go?" she tugged me outside the room and ofd we went to the cafeteria.

"So.... Why'd you transfer without telling me!?!" I yelled at Avrils face and caught attention from some people around. Avril still looked the same. Hot and gorgeous. Her short icy colored hair, her grey ice and her height. She was slim, duh she's a model, everything about her made me feel insecure. There I was. Having wavy brunette hair(which is boring), blue eyes(too common) 5'3 short.(I know, I know I'm a smidget).

"I wanted to surprise you actually." she said whilst taking a sip of her orange juice. "And I think I did my job pretty well on surprising you." She wrinkled her eyebrows at me and then laughed hard.

Yes. She's weird.

After awhile of talking with her, Chad and Brian came unexpectedly. They both sat down infront of us.

"Hey babe." Brian gave me a wink. I just rolled my eyes. "Who's this chick?" He asked me while giving Avril a glare. "She's my bestfriend, Avril. She just transeferred here so that makes her new. Be friendly to her, okay?" I stared at Brian who was still glaring at Avril like she killed his cat or something.

Chad was there too, i've noticed him smiling, and I really meant smiling hugely to Avril and Avril on the other hand was doing this some sort of face towards Chad.

It was uncomfortable. They were flirting through looks. I know because I've known Avril since forever, she never do these looks to someone she just met and Chad too, was not his usual self.

Okay kill me now. This is the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed in my whole entire 17 years or living.

Just seeing them here, doing those faces is so heart-aching. Specially when it's Avril and... Chad.

Brian must've caught me feeling uncomfortable because the next thing he did was sit beside me and whispered something on my ear.

"I don't like this b--"

I cut him off, understanding what the next word is. I couldn't help myself but laugh. So hard. That I snorted. Well atleast Avril and Chad stopped giggling at eachother and faced me with a puzzled look on their faces. "Lia?" Avril tried to snap me out of my laugh but I just couldn't. I stood up and with confidence I said,

"Remember what I said to end whatever feelings I have? Ppfft, Taking it back."

I faced at Avril, who had the expression of confusion and worry.

"Game is on, Avril." I whispered to myself.
