Living with the enemy

Chapter Four

Mum was in the office, holding up a bag that had her team colours from her pony club when she was younger. "All of my team got this bag. It is made for traveling boots." She says, looking at the bag then looking at me. "I decide to keep mine so I could give it to you. I was going to wait till you wear 16, but you need one now." She says, putting the bag in my hands. It was a bright pink colour with white zig zags on it. Mum use to always tell me, her team leader was say that having the biggest colours would mean we would stand out. Which was true. I look up to mum, smiling. I sat the bag on the chair and give mum a bear hug. "Thankyou." I say to her, letting her go. "Come one, lets go and see if your horse still has his rug on." Mum said to me, smiling. I nodded, grabbing the bag and walking back out to Charm.

It was almost 11:00. We had finished doing Charm 10 minutes ago and now we were carrying all my bags out. There were four of them. Two for me and two for Charm. Who knew we would need so much. We sat everything down on the front porch and sat down. Mum and dad turned to me. "Sasha, I know you are not 100% happy about us going on a holiday without you." Dad said smiling. "But we call each other every night." Mum added in. Dad pulled some money out of his wallet. "Here is a $1000 dollars. This will cover for your horse shows and anything you might want to buy for yourself or Charm." Dad said, about to hand it to me. Before he could give to me, I run off to my room. I run into my room, grabbing my wallet, my necklace and my handbag. I open my wallet to see what I had in it. I had a $50 and $20 dollar note, along with a picture of me and my pop. I closed it and go back out to mum and dad. "Thankyou Dad and Mum." I say putting the money in my wallet. That was when we heard a ute coming in. I turned around to see this flash ute and a massive horse float on. Wow. It was breath taking, thats for sure. Simon get's out of the ute and walk over to the porch, while Nicole just winds the window down to say hello. "Hello." Simon says. "Hello" Dad says back. Nicole watches me as I put my bags in the back of the ute.. "Someone would think you wear moving in." She says, not even looking at me. "Well I'm not. Most of it is for Charm." I say back.

After we put everything on the back of the ute and load Charm up, I say my goodbyes to mum and dad. I give them both a tight hug and kiss them on the cheek. "Bye. I'm going to miss you guys." I say stepping back. "We will to." Mum says. "I love you guys, ring me when you leave to go away." I say getting in the ute. I shut the door and put my seatbelt on. Nicole was sitting in the front. We didn't speak to one another. Simon was talking to mum and dad still.

[Mrs Silver POV]

"Please do look after our daughter." I say to Simon. "Of course I will." He says, smiling. "She still hasn't worked out that you guys are not going away?" He asked. I chuckle at his comment. "No she does not, and that is the way it needs to be kept. Those two girls need to learn to get along with each other." Ty, my husband, said. I nodded my head in agreement. "Hopefully this will work. We I should get going." Simon says, waving to us. "See ya." I said, waving back to him. Ty and I turn around and walk into the house.
