"Mary! Get your ass out of bed! You're gonna be late for your bus, again!" My mom yelled from the stairs, clearly drunk.
I threw the covers off of me to reveal boxes of tissues from the night before. I stripped off my pajamas and put on dirty sweatpants, a tank top, and a grey sweatshirt to cover up my straps.
I walked into the bathroom and put my long blonde hair in a bun.
I picked up my phone to reveal a long string of texts from my friend Bethany.
Bethany: THERE ARE NEW PEOPLE COMING TO THE SCHOOL TODAY!
THEY'RE TWINS!
ANSWER THE FUCKING PHONE!
MARY THEY ARE TWINS... TWINNNNSSSS!!
I put my phone in my bag with a smile and walked down stairs; ignoring my mothers bitchy comments as I walk out the door to the bus stop.
I hear the bus wheels screech as it came to a stop and the doors opened.
I walked up the stairs to find familiar faces except for two boys sitting in the back with their heads down. It must be the twins Bethany was hyping up about!
I walked to the back and sat down in the seat next to them. I shifted in my seat and fiddled with my thumbs before I finally got the courage to introduce myself.
"Hey, I am Mary" they both looked up and I knew at that moment that I was in love with my new best friends.
