My Demon Mate

Prologue

"You can't do this! He's one of my children!'' begged Selene as she struggled in the chains restraining her.

"You have hundreds of children what's the difference if I mess with this one?" The demon stated matter of factly.

"Mess with him!? Your turning him into a demon! Leave him alone you foul creature and take me instead!" Selene cried as she violently thrashed against the chains.

"For a goddess you sure do talk a lot. I'm only turning a part of him into a demon and besides he's not even born yet so what does it matter?" The demon questioned her as he poured a black tar like substance into one of the many cauldrons surrounding him. Each cauldron contained an unborn wolf.

"You disgusting animal stop you're ruining his life! I already gave him a mate! Your ruining his only chance for happiness!" Selene yelled hysterically

"Shut your mouth witch!" The demon snarled as he cut his wrist and let his blood fall into the same cauldron. "He won't have any happiness after I'm done with him! Expect his stupid mate."

"What are you talking about you fiend! Of course he'll have his mate, every wolf does you stupid brute!" Selene screamed

"Obviously. I'm not as dumb as you make me out to be. I know that wolves have mates, it's just their bonds that I can't separate or get rid of. That's the only thing that you know how to make powerful enough that no one can possibly break. The fact that both this now corrupted child and his mate are both unborn, that only makes their bond more secure, you should know that right, Selene?" The demon hissed at Selene while he picked up the cauldron and shook it around gently not letting any of the liquid fall out.

"That's an ancient item put that down! If you corrupt him anymore you'll only shorten his lifespan you foolish idiot!" Selene shouted pulling her chains

"That's where you're wrong. You see vixen, what I did was turn him immoral and bloodthirsty nothing serious really." The demon chuckled at his response while he pull out two of his canine teeth that was sharper than knives. The demon dropped the teeth in and started to smirk.

"What did you just do, you bastard!?" Selene questioned harshly

"Nothing out of the ordinary I just made his teeth and bones more stronger you know for slaughtering his victims. He'll also have very fast regenerating abilities, you're welcome for that" The demon smiled facing Selene

"Now that my plan is complete it's time to depart from this hideous lair of yours, don't you think Selene?" The demon taunted wickedly

"Oh so help me heavens I will kill you myself, you foul beast for corrupting one of my innocent children!" Selene threatened pulling the chains once more

"Oh so scary" The demon teased, "But on to a serious note. I know you won't even think of killing the child because your heart is too weak and not even you yourself can break the bond of having a mate that you placed on him. That mate of his better be everything he needs"

The demon walked over to Selene and picked her chin up with his hand and whispered in her ear, "I doubt you'll go all the way down to hell to kill me."

"I won't need to you demon" she responded plunging a dagger through his heart making the demon eyes wide in horror.

"But this is i-impossible you're the m-moon god-goddess why would you carry a d-dagger'', the demon choked on his blood before falling to his death.

Once the demon was truly dead the chains released Selene and she ran to the corrupted cauldron. Selene looked inside and saw instead of the glowing blue substance that was normally there, she saw the that the substance was pitched black and bubbling. Selene cried as she held up her now corrupted child.

"I'm so sorry my child. I couldn't save you and now your life will now be forever changed. You will endure constant hate, horror, and sadness as a pup and I truly beg for your forgiveness. That demon has made you a monster which everyone will despise. I don't know how to turn you back or what I can possibly do to help you my child. I can't even guide you through life especially not as a demon. How will you ever be happy my beautiful child?" Selene mournfully cried as she held the cauldron against her chest.

Selene thought of one possibility that could help her corrupted pup find happiness. She held the cauldron up to her mouth and whispered an ancient verse into it. Once the verse was complete the cauldron spoke only two words to Selene. These two words were the only thing that could possibly bring happiness to her corrupted pup. These two words were the corrupted pup's mate.

"Please bring happiness to my demon child. I beg of you Amy Kurta."
