Chapter 2

Chloe's Pov

I was awoken by the sound of someone knocking on my window, I lazily stood up to go see what the matter was. It was Amy, I sighed and opened the window for her.

"Why did you wake me up, I was dreaming about Harry Styles" I hissed, angry at her for ruining my dream.

"Shut up, guess what" she beamed, clapping her hand and giggling.

"What" I asked, pretending to be interested.

"Greyson gave me his number" she almost screamed.

"That's great and everything, can you let me sleep now" I requested.

"Oh honey of course not, I need to tell you how it happened."

So I had to hear her ramble about how she got his number, which I wasn't even listening to, I even almost fell asleep again.

"Chloe pay attention, then we can talk about the guy you were staring at today" she wiggles her eyebrows.

"I have homework to do" I told her, trying to change the subject.

"Okay then, I'll help you with your homework and then we can talk about boys" she smiled.

An hour later and I'm still trying to do my homework. Amy said she would help me, but all she's been doing is gossiping about how Trinity (her worst enemy) was flirting with Greyson the other day, and it was hard to focus.

So I gave up and decided to finish when she left. "Do you wanna go to McDonald's, I'm hungry" I offered.

She nodded as I put my shoes on, I would have cooked but I was too hungry to wait, and lazy so McDonalds is the better option.

On our way their I called my mom to see what she and my brothers wanted. I bought all the food with Amy and came back home.

Soon after Amy went back home so I finished my homework, showered, brushed my teeth, and went to bed.

Next day, I did my normal morning routine and got ready for another day of prison (aka school).

I went to my first class which was like always, language arts. It was my favorite subject however, today I was looking forward to math class.

I then arrived at my new algebra class, which I had right after lunch so I was very early.

I sat in the same seat I sat in yesterday, hoping to get to sit with Amy again.

A few minutes passed and the teacher and a few students came in the room, sitting down. I saw the guy I was looking at yesterday come in. We locked eyes and he kept staring at me and walking straight towards me.

As I least expected, he sat right next to me and smiled. I smiled back, and then Amy came in and brought another desk next to me to sit on, which I was glad for.

"Okay ladies and gentlemen, today I want you to work in pairs again and finish this worksheet for today." I kinda already hated this teacher for never teaching and just assigning work.

I was obviously going to work with Amy but when Mrs. Carter came to pass around the paper, she came to us three and said "Luke and.... what's your name sweetie?" she pointed to me "Chloe" I answered, "you two will be working together and Amy you can work with Greyson over there" she pointed at him across the room.

I looked at her, giving her a sad look. She just smiled since she was going to work with Greyson and whispered in my ear, "sorry babe but I'm about to hop on this hottie, be happy for me" she winked at me.

I giggled at her craziness and turned to Luke. "Well.. do you know how to do this?" I asked him.

He nodded and began doing the first couple problems, later giving the paper to me, so that I could work on some. "Um.. actually I don't understand" I bite my lip.

He just intensely look at me and blinked. After a while of staring he just started laughing "it's easy, I'll help you"

He began explaining it to me, but I couldn't hear a word he was saying because of how close we were and I started breathing heavier, as he started leaning in closer to make sure I understood him.

"And that's all, do you get it now?" he broke me out of my thoughts.

"Yea" I lied and took the paper in my hands before trying to figuring out the algebra. After awhile of just staring at the paper, he looked at me.

"Chloe, are you sure you understand, you've been staring at the paper for like 5 minutes. I loved the way my name just rolled off his tongue so smoothly.

"Yea, actually I forgot what you said..." I half lied.

"He laughed it off and started explaining it with me, this time asking me questions every now and then to make sure I was paying attention.

I actually understood a bit more, as he explained and helped me through each problem. "Thank you, I think I get it now" I smiled. He gave me a smile back and encouraged me to try a problem on my own.

"Since we're probably get another worksheet for homework, do you maybe want to meet up at my house to work on it together?" he asked, and since I was surprised I didn't reply right away but gave him a nod.

"Here give me your number" he handed me his phone, and I typed it in before handing it back to him.

"I'll text you" he finished saying before the bell went off, signaling the end of the period and the 5 minutes we have to get to our next class. As we walked out the class, Mrs. Carter gave out the homework, which was basically the same thing we've been "learning"

I waited for Amy outside the door, and I saw her walk out the class before she smirked at me and said "Tell me all the details girl"

Knowing Amy, she wouldn't rest until I told her everything, but there wasn't anything to say but the fact that he asked for my number. As we walked to our next class, she almost screamed, "omg, he asked for your number?!"

"Relax, it's just so we can go to his house to work together on the homework since I had some trouble"

"Girl, you know you are not going to be doing homework at his house" she winked at me.

I giggled at her response before blushing as we walked down the hall.
