This is my first story. I appreciate that you are reading it, I hope you enjoy it.
I sat down, the stubborn look that I had while explaining to my teacher still on my face. The class had fallen silent while I explained how the project was unfair. Finally Mr. S, or Mr. Shit-head, as everyone called him behind his back, spoke.
“Go to the office now Brian”
I stand up; grab my bag and walks down to the office. As I get down there, I knew that I was going to be in major trouble. It wasn’t the first time I have been sent down to the office for saying a project was stupid. I walk into the office and the secretary just nods at a chair and I sit down. I look at the floor as the secretary phones my mom. After about half an hour my mom walks into the office looking furious. She starts to talk at me, but I carefully slip my ear buds in and turn on my music. I laugh in my head as the Mariana’s Trench song, “Fallout” comes up. I think to myself that it is the perfect word to describe my situation. I knew that when the principal comes out I would be expelled, I was told so last time I caused trouble. Of course it was only the first time this school year, and it was only in the first month.
“Brian, Miss. Kerr, please come into my office” Said the principal in her harsh voice.
I stand up and turn off my MP3 player and walks with my mom to the office.
“Miss. Kerr, the last time Brian was in the office I told both of you that we will not tolerate his behaviour anymore. This is the last straw.” The principal gives a small smirk, finally able to say these words.
“I’m sorry, but I have no choice but to expel Brian from my school.”
I stand up while my mom stutters trying to make some excuse for me.
“Mom let’s just go. There is no point in arguing. That old crone has wanted me out of this school since the minute I first set foot in the office.” I say, while walking to the door.
I walk out to my mom’s car and gets in the passenger side seat, while my mom takes a bit more time coming out and gets in the driver’s seat then drives home. She tries to talk to me, but I just turn on my MP3 again and ignore her. Just as we pull into the drive way she turns to me and says. “Pack up all your stuff. You are going to be moving to your aunt’s house in New York.”
When I hear that I look at her shocked.
“What? Why am I going to be moving to New York? All my friends are here. It’s not fair, you can’t make me.”
My mom sighs and looks at me. “I have to send you away. It is best for you to have a new start, and I just can’t handle you anymore. You have until Friday to pack up your stuff.”
I get out of the car and slam the car door shut. I go up to my room, slamming every door behind me and sit on my bed. After a bit I realise that no amount of sulking would change things. So I get my two suitcases from under my bed and start to pack my clothes in one. Once I finished packing up I start filling the other one with my books from my bookshelf.
After that I mutter to myself. “Now I just have three days to wait.”
