Why me?

"Bailey, you need to get up, we're gonna be late for school" my annoying little sister, Brooklyn, tells me after hitting me in the face with a pillow.

"Ugh, Brookie!" I say as I sit up, rubbing my eyes. The first thing I see is her scowling at me.

"I told you not to call me that..." Brooklyn whispers, sounding annoyed. I sigh and stand up.

"Go get ready." I tell her a little too harshly. She leaves the room and I change quickly into my blue jeans, a tank top, and my brothers old black sweatshirt with our last name, Jackson, on the back of it. I open my door and walk into the bathroom. After brushing my hair and teeth, Brooklyn appears next to me. She notices the sweatshirt and looks at me with sad eyes. I pull her into a hug and we just sit there hugging each other for the next few minutes until that sad look disappears.

"Ready to go?" I ask her and she nods. We put on our shoes and walk out the door. Luckily for us, we only have an eight minute walk to and from school. We walk in silence. I leave her at the middle school and continue on walking to the high school, pulling my hood up so no one could make eye contact with me. No eye contact, no socializing.

I get to the high school and walk inside, making my way to my locker. I open it slowly, getting out my books then shuts the door. I peek out from under my hood to see a group of girls hovering over around someone. A new kid. Either a really hot guy or a supermodel type of girl. Well, there's no guys around who care, so I will go with my first guess. Great, probably another stuck up rich kid. I hide back under my hood and walk to my first hour. Ms.Hawkins. She's a snotty old teacher who is, believe or not, one of those old cat ladies cause she cant get a maaaaaan as Brooklyn always says. I laugh slightly at the memory and go inside the classroom.

I sit near the back left corner of the class. I've always loved this spot. The bell rings and Ms.Hawkins takes her spot in the front of the class room. As she starts to lectures us in her usual monotone, I automatically can tell this is going to be a really long hour.
