Don't call me a sunflower
My life is not filled with entire brightness
Don't call me a dandelion
I'm not delicate all the time
Rather call me a rose

Working so hard to put myself together.
Put up a smile for everyone else
And doing a great job at pretending everything is fine.

But I got rough edges.
I break down when it gets tough.
I push away anyone who wants to get closer.
I hurt those who want to discover my layers.

So when I meet you don't expect a sunflower or dandelion Because this flower has worked so hard to built itself up
That it fears the build up could be destroyed.
