Vanessa's P.O.V

"Vanessa? Honey?" I get up from my small nap by my mom calling my name, from outside of my room.

"Yeah?" I answer

"I'm serving the dinner in 10 mins, come down" she smiles at me and makes her way down stairs.

I keep my chin on my hand and elbow on table supporting my hand and smile remembering the dream I just had. I imagine me kissing him and smile even more. I wish I could know who he is and what he looks like. And even meet him, only if he exists.

Sometimes you lose everything you have but the good memories of life stays with you forever, which keeps you sane. But in my case, I lost my whole memory of 16 years and every identity or anything I had. I don't even know how the old me was. But I'm kinda happy with the new me. I'm having a little problem to fit in with my family though, as they are mainly at office working. I only see them for breakfast and dinner. So I stay alone or with Jess all day. But they are very friendly and caring when it comes to me.

I just have these dreams to make me smile no matter how bad my mood is. I quickly take out my diary and note this dream. And head downstairs for dinner.

"Spaghetti!" I squeal earning chuckles from my small family.

"When you were small you behaved just like that whenever I cooked spaghetti" my mom says smiling which soon fades away "Those were the happy times...my little princess had a normal life"

She said the last part quietly but audible enough for me to hear. I felt bad, not for my past but her emotions. After all she's my mother. All these accident, memory loss, and my mental health made her worry a lot. Like all normal moms. I go to her and give her a warm hug, she gives a shocked look as I don't really do all those with them, keeping in the fact that I'm still trying to get close with my family.

"We will make new memories, together" I smile and she gives one back, with a kiss on my forehead.
