Excitement coursed through my veins, sneakers pounding on pavement sweat pouring down my skin like a waterfall dashing home as fast as my legs could carry me on a warm summer day. The game finally game out! Vestria Online! The game is apparently is the first full open world game on a special VR gaming console called a Brain Waver! Vestria Online is a giant VRMMO that’s been seen in a lot of animes. It’s basically like a giant fantasy world that’s been in development for about 15 years. Opening the door and walking into my room with the brand new system and game, doing my best to keep calm and set the system up. Oh god thats a lot of whires… Well time to get to work. After much frustration I finally and successfully set the system up. Excitement coursed through my veins anew, sliping on the brain waver I close my eyes and whisper “Link start!” Ugh why did I say that? Ahhh who am I kidding that line is cool unlike what it came from, unless you’re talking about the superior parody.
First darkness then suddenly light! Opening my eyes I see before me a giant dataspace with a screen that read: “Please enter a name” Alright then how about Lyric? The screen disappeared with the words “SCANNING” reappearing. Scanning? Scanning what? The size of my- The words “SCANNING COMPLETE” appeared, breaking me from my chain of thought, followed then shortly following afterwards with a fully 3D clone of… me. And damn did game accurately recreate me. From the light, almost pale, skin tone, the blue green eyes that are more green than blue, and the long messy dirty blond mop on my head called hair. Sadly it also kept the negative parts of my face, pimples? Remove those! Beard hair? Remove that as well. Freckles? Yeah i’m keeping those. Let’s see what else here…. Race hunh? What do you mean like skin color? *boop* Well it looks like I was wrong. Apparently Race meant a literal race like an anthro cat which is pretty cool to be honest. No not very cool is incredibly fucking cool! So let’s go with an anthro dragon and let’s make my scales a dark green… and for extra coolness let’s take the tail and turn it black with neon green stripes and oh hey it kept my hair, nice. Now onto the outfit because the scan didn’t scan my clothes… Oh boy. Well first of put the undergarments on to cover up the privity bits… There we go now on to the more important stuff like pants and shirts and dam are there a shitton. Let’s see here… ooh! This looks stylish!.....I look good in this!...... Perfect!..... Alright! Finished! The finished outfit consisted of sturdy black square glasses on my face, for a shirt I have a plain black t-shirt with a meme on it along with a black light jacket with white checkers on one side with bright green stripes on the other. For pants I chose a simple pair of black jeans that fit me smugly and are just the right length. For footwear I picked a simple pair of grey sneakers with white shoelaces. As for accessories I picked a sliver scaled cross that remind me of my parents birthday gift that they got me for christmas my sophomore year in high school. Pressing OK I came across a screen that asked me for my age… Uhhh i’m 16. Why would they put this after creating my character? After entering that the system asked “Are you sure?” I nodded and everything went black as I fell unconscious.
