The Next Day
Forth was currently lying on his bed staring at the ceiling. After yesterday's ordeal he had no motivation much less the desire to go outside and see anyone, except maybe one person, but he highly doubted that the person in question would want to see his face or have anything to do with him.
Damn...Damn it. He couldn't stop berating himself. Although he was glad that everything had gone back to normal and he was no longer spewing the truth to anyone who asked him a question, he couldn't help but feel like a total douchebag.
He covered his face with his hands in mortification after remembering all the things he had said to Ming, Kit, Pha, and Wayo. Especially Pha. The other boy was known to be very protective of his friends who were actually more like younger siblings to him. He didn't think that he could face Pha.
Beam.
His thoughts shifted to the person who occupied his mind 24/7.
Have I ruined my chances with you? If I said I was sorry, would you believe me?
He hadn't forgotten the look Beam gave him after slapping him in the face. He looked shocked, embarrassed and hurt. He understood the other 2 emotions but hurt? It bothered him the more he thought about it. Why would Beam look hurt? Could he have thought that Forth was trying to humiliate him and was using such a cheap method of doing so?
He let out a heavy sigh and started pacing back and forth in his room.
He desperately needed to make things right with Beam again. The pain in his heart wouldn't lessen until he made sure the other boy knew where he stood. He needed to tell him that after the night they shared together, he wasn't the same. He wanted to tell Beam that his arms were aching to hold him, that his mind was constantly preoccupied by him, that when he spoke to his friends he couldn't stop talking about him, and that the days felt unbearably long without him.
He knew what he was feeling and he was aware of the powerful emotion coursing through his body. He just needed to make it clear to Beam. He was tired of running around and getting nowhere and he was sick of all the misunderstandings. He was a man, and he would make sure that by the end of this day Beam would be in his arms and then in his rightful place, beside Forth, on his bed.
A loud knock on his door interrupted his thoughts.
He wasn't expecting anyone today. He really didn't want to see anyone and was debating whether or not he should open the door. However, from the incessant knocking, it didn't seem that the person behind the door was going to leave anytime soon.
He cursed under his breath and wished that a giant black hole would appear and swallow him whole but alas that seemed to be an impossibility at the moment and so he moved his feet and went to open the door.
He was a bit apprehensive as he looked at the two boys standing outside of his room.
He definitely was NOT expecting them.
"Pha? N'Wayo?"
