Chapter 1

HEY GUYS! So this is the first chapter of my first fan-fic. It's kind of just a starting point :) I hope you like it!

SUNDAY NIGHT

10:30 

I laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling, listening to my mom yelling at my dad on the phone. It never ends. What I don't understand is why they can't just stop talking to one another altogether. I mean, all they ever do when they actually talk is yell. I don't think either of them would be missing much. 

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" 

I sighed and got up to shut my bedroom door. There's no reason for us all to suffer. I walked over to my desk and sat down in front of my open Macbook. Immediately I went online to see if anyone was willing to take me out of my misery. Of course, when I'm available, everybody else decides to disappear. That's cool. Whatever.

I clicked on Safari and waited for the internet to load.

"Are you out of your mind?!" 

I rolled my eyes and went to iTunes to tune her out. I let Demi Lovato take me away and out of this annoying thing that I get to call my life. My phone buzzed next to me and I looked down at the illuminated screen. A smile spread across my face as I unlocked my phone to reply. 

Carson: hey beb! how's ur dad's?

Me: thankfully i'm back home. its like i never left tho. him and my mom are fighting on the phone...as usual. 

Carson: :( sorry to hear tht. but i have some good news

Me: what is it?

While I waited for her response, I logged onto facebook and started scrolling through my newsfeed. I typed in a name and went to his profile. In a relationship. I let out a whimper and closed my computer. I leaned back in my desk chair and my phone vibrated with Carson's reply. 

Carson: I got the job! 

When I read the text I deflated a little bit. My fears have been confirmed. I'm going to be alone this summer. Carson is going away to be a counselor at a sleep-away camp. In other words, I'll be sitting on my couch moving back and forth between my parents while she's singing "Cumbaya" around a campfire. Great..

Me: good for u! :) now i'll just sit home and do nothing all summer...

Carson: u and zo can hang out

Me: not likely. her parents are taking her to spain. 

Carson: o. well...i'll only be gone for 7 weeks. 

Me: oh yeah, not like that's the whole summer or anything. 

Carson: dnt be bummed. im sure you'll find something to do. maybe you'll have a summer romance ;)

Me: bullSHIT.

Carson: what? u never know...:D

Me: yeah ok. i'm going to bed but i'll see u tomorrow morning. ta ta <3

Carson: DNT RUN AWAY FROM LOVE!

Me: ...bye carson.

Carson: nightt ;) <3
