Jawbreakers

"Give it up, Eddy. It's getting late. If Kevin hasn't given us a jawbreaker by now he's not going to," Edd stated. Eddy sighed and turned to walk away.

"Yeah, fine. See you guys tomorrow." Ed soon followed after crushing Edd in a bear hug.

"Goodbye, Double D." Edd waved at the two retreating boys as he turned in the direction of his own home.

As he walked he couldn't stop thinking about the 'class' he held with Ed and Eddy on Kevin. He knew more about the boy than he had originally thought. Guess he'd been paying more and more attention lately. He couldn't help it though. Anytime the other boy was around his mind wandered to his confident physique, well-muscled arms and chest, that nice, round…No! Double D couldn't let his mind wander that far. He'd kept his thoughts in check and so far no one had noticed his starring, but he couldn't let himself slip now.

As Edd got to his driveway he was so lost in his thoughts he didn't noticed his voice mumbling under his breath, or the redhead walking up behind him.

"Hey, Double Dork!" the ginger called making the raven jump.

"Oh um hello, Kevin. I wish to extend to you my apologies for the events of earlier today with Ed and Eddy." Edd opened his mouth to say more, but Kevin cut him off with a hand up.

"Don't worry about it. I got something in mind for those two dweebs later." Kevin smirked in an almost sadistic way that made Edd nervous, or at least more nervous than he had been already.

Edd realized Kevin had said 'those TWO'. Which any rational person would conclude did not include him. Edd looked at Kevin suddenly scared as he noticed one of Kevin's hands was hidden behind his back. "Kevin, if I might inquire…What are you hiding behind your back?"

Kevin smirked in a way that made Double D's nervousness shoot up another level. The fact that Kevin was slowly backing him into a nearby tree was not helping the case at all. Edd felt his back hit the tree as he pressed his body as close to it as he possibly could wincing as Kevin got way to close to his personal space for the raven haired boy's liking.

"Here," Kevin whispered showing a jawbreaker in his previously hidden hand as he lightly shoved it toward Edd, "I couldn't help noticing how much you were telling dweed and dumbass earlier about me. It seemed to me you know me better than everyone but Nazz." Edd took the jawbreaker carefully, gazing at Kevin shyly.

"Th-this is really for me? It doesn't…..weird you out at all that I knew so much?" Edd questioned nervously holding the jawbreaker between the pair. Kevin adjusted himself slightly to lean his left arm against the tree, but still stay mainly in front of the smaller male.

"You're assuming I haven't noticed you staring at me." Kevin smirked at the red tint Double D's cheeks took and the way he spluttered in embarrassment. "'S okay, I kinda like the attention. And watching you turn pink when I catch you watching is pretty fun too."

"I-I apologize for the staring, Kevin. I will strive to…." Kevin laughed softly leaning in and capturing the bumbling nerd's lips in a light kiss. In actuality it didn't last more than a minute, but to Double D it felt like an hour. He was disappointed when Kevin pulled away too soon, but smiled a small smile at the light pink that dusted over his cheeks.

"See you 'round, Double Dork," Kevin said smiling as he turned and walked across the street to his house. Double D watched him leave smiling slightly as he turned entering his own house and stuck the giant candy in his mouth happily.
