step back to the mind of yesterday, a young child's symbolism. a worth lost in time, a blooming life, a few broken dreams. the times that could have been, lost in the layers of dust. the memories they said they'd make, forgotten, hidden. like a wind chime it would have hung, sighing slowly. they would have cut their fingers on the what if's, but she scarred them first. they were torn to shreds, they can never go back, but maybe it has changed for the better.
forgive the tomorrows, live the present, and carry this piece of past, found again.
