"You look nice," I complimented Jenn, noticing her tight jeans and tank top and how nice they made her body look, "I'm glad we got to do something tonight."

She smiled at me, brushing her hand up against mine as the two of us walked along the sidewalk at The Grove, "I'm glad you accepted my invitation."

"Why wouldn't I accept an opportunity to hang out with a beautiful girl?"

Jenn smiled again, her teeth as white as snow up against her shimmery pink lips, "Where do you want to go first?"

I looked to my left and right at all of the clothing stores and eateries that really didn't interest me and told her, "Anywhere."

"Let's go to the fountain," she suggested, "I love the fountain." She brushed her fingers against mine again, as if signaling that she wanted me to hold her hand, but doing that would be just asking for trouble. A fan would see us, take a picture, then we might as well be engaged. Not to mention that if news of me and Jenn having a relationship got to Ashley before I was to tell her anything about it, I would probably lose her too. I don't want to lose her.

We sat on the edge of the fountain just outside of Banana Republic and watched as the water jumped up and down in neat, beautiful lines, dancing to the beat of some soft music.

"How is everything going with AwesomenessTV?" I asked, remembering that last time Jenn and I spent time together, she was talking with Awesomeness about getting her own show on their channel, which would be a huge opportunity for her.

She smiled before answering, "Well, they're finalizing my show. It's this idea where they come to mine and Andrea's apartment and we do different stuff right in our place."

My heart sighed, but my face remained happy for her, since I was. Sometimes I forget that Andrea and Jenn are like best friends and room mates, "That's amazing."

She looked down at her lap, her giddy smile taking over her face. I could tell that when she smiled like this she was talking about something she loves. Jenn seems to have such a passion for making videos and making others happy, just like I do.

"It's a great opportunity for my channel and Andrea's radio stuff," she said, "I'm just so happy right now." Jenn put her hand on top of mine as it was resting on the cold marble of the fountain.

I smiled at her, flipping over her hand and holding it properly in mine. I was starting to actually like Jenn, and not just because I need to get over my crush on Andrea. She's beautiful, sweet, caring, and passionate about everything she does, I like that stuff in a girl.

"Kian, can I ask you something?"

I nodded, but didn't speak so that she could.

"What are we? You and I. Is this a date? Are we friends?"

I shrugged very lightly, "What do you want us to be?"

She looked down at our interlocking hands and told me, "Not just friends."

"So let's just see what happens," I said, "I like you, Jenn."

Her face lit up with happiness, as if all of her fears were instantly quieted.

Jenn and I went back to her apartment after our date-type-thing at the Grove, then everything changed. Once Jenn and I were out of the public eye, all of the holding back and the playing it safe so that news of her and I wouldn't be exposed flew out the window.

Jenn grabbed me and kissed me while we sat on her bed, and before long, we had no clothes on. I didn't think too much about what I was doing when it happened, but hooking up with Jenn was a lot of fun. Not in a pervy sort of "I'm a guy, so I want sex at all costs" type of way, but in a way where I think we both had some fun and we strengthened whatever bond she and I already have. I stayed the night at Jenn's after we had sex, since Andrea was out, we had her big, empty apartment to walk around half naked and eat food and cuddle up close in her bed until we fell asleep.
