Celestine LeBeau stared at the ceiling in St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, her ears barely catching the shared whispers of her healer and her parents. Her right shoulder was sore, and she could feel bruises on her legs and arms, especially the one on her left cheek from where she hit a tree root. She could feel the teeth entering and ripping out of her flesh repeatedly, but it didn't faze her as much as it did when her parents had first rushed her to St. Mungo's.

She turned her head slightly when her healer and parents entered the room again, but this time with Headmaster Dumbledore at their heels. The former group stayed towards the edge of the room, and Headmaster Dumbledore took a seat at the edge of her hospital bed.

"Good afternoon, Ms. LeBeau, how're you feeling?" he asked, looking at the girl with a gentle smile.

Celestine sighed, "Better, but Headmaster, I'm afraid I can't attend in the fall this year, or the next years to come."

"And why not?" the man asked.

"It wouldn't be in the best interest of the students," she replied with a saddened tone.

"Nonsense," he grinned, "you are not the first to walk the halls of Hogwarts with your... sickness."

Celestine's eyes widened, "What?"

"There was once a student much like yourself a decade or so back, and we housed him just the same as everyone else," he explained. "Madame Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall have already been informed, and we are expecting your return on September first."

"But, what about my friends? You haven't told them, have you?" she asked hurriedly, a bit worried.

The Headmaster shook his head, "No, Ms. LeBeau, that is up to yourself to tell them. I must be going, though, still plenty of letters to send out and a school to watch over. Have a good day, Ms. LeBeau, see you soon."

Celestine stared up at him with wide eyes, "Yeah, see you soon."
