Zunami

It's been 4 days since our water ran out and it is as hot as fucking hell. We are stranded in a town lying on floor almost wishing death. We were listening to Citizen Z with whatever battery we had left on the radio.
"Another quiet Saturday night here at the top of the world. If you can hear my voice, let me just say I'm glad you're still alive. The Great Zombie Zunami of 03 continues to pound the prairie into dust, headed south from Nebraska into Kansas. This hive minded crowd of a million plus zombies is crushing everything in its random path, so watch your ass out there. Keep your hands and feet inside the boat, and don't feed the animals. This is Citizen Z. Signing off."
"I read once that you could drink your own urine. But all I'm pissin' is dust." said Doc
"Water isn't gonna find you just sitting there." Murphy said jogging around us.
"Why are you so freaking chipper?" I said.
"Maybe it's cuz I conserve my precious bodily fluids." said Murphy. I heard a rumbling and a lot of groaning and I turn around and see a mile wide of Z's heading for us.
"What is that?" I asked
"More like a zombie flood. Goddamn guys just won't quit." Warren said laying there.
"I suggest we run for it. Come on, people. Pick it up." Murphy said picking us up.
"We can't. Dehydrated." I said collapsing from the exhaustion and dizziness.
"Alright I'll carry her but the rest of your slow asses need to get a move on." said Murphy
"Come on. Keep movin'. Come on. Let's go. Come on! Move it! This way!" Murphy said as he lead everyone into a funeral home.
"So that's it? We're all just gonna lie down and die? Doc!" said Murphy
"Knock it off, Murphy." said 10k.
"Three days without water, man. The human body hits the wall." said Doc
"There must be thousands of them. Or Millions." Cass said looking in the distance,
"They're migrating. South for the winter. Zs don't like the cold." 10k said.
"We shoulda kept running." said Murphy
"We've got to get out of here." said Warren
"Okay, this room isn't secure. We got to find some place more secure." said 10k
"This place is a funeral home it should have a Morgue." said Cass
"Let's go. You heard the lady! Let's go!" said Murphy carrying me.
"Nuh-uh, no way. This place is a death trap." I said as we walked in.
"What are suppose to do" said Cass
"We wait them out." said Murphy
"We can't just stay here and wait to die." said Doc. We started to hear scratching and I looked at one of the drawers.
"I'll open it. You pike it." said Murphy to Warren
"Don't open that drawer. Just leave it alone." said Cass
"Calm down."
We opened it can Warren piked it in the face.
"They're coming in." Doc said as we heard glass breaking.
"No way in hell am I getting in that thing. 10k you know I hate small spaces I rather take my chance with the millions of Z's." I said
"I don't want to die in here."
"Well you ain't gonna live out here." said Murphy laying me down on the table.
Murphy started to out everyone in the drawers and closing the dooors.
"What about Autumn" asked 10k
"There is no more drawers but as you know Z's won't hurt me so I'm gonna carry her around. Don't worry kid she's gonna be ok." said Murphy to 10k before closing the door.

"Murphy!" I said as I saw zombies coming in.
"Shhh. Your fine, remember the compound how the Z's went past you when you were near me. We are doing that again since you're too weak and claustrophobic." He said. I just closed my eyes and held on tight to him. Murphy started to walk outside and all the Z's were ignoring us. "We're going to the apartment building to look for food. We will be ok." Murphy said to me as he was carrying me through the hoard. Murphy set me down when we got inside and I instantly started to smile. In front of us was a pie of food and water that had a note saying, "Got bit just take my shit." I looked out the window and saw that all the Z's have passed. I grabbed a water jug and drank nearly half of it.
"Murphy we can go back and I think everyone will like what we brought."
When we got back, I started opening up the drawers to let everyone out.
As everyone was let out, I should them what Murphy and I found.
"Where'd you get that?" asked Warren
"Took it from a dead family." Murphy said
"Is this beef jerky?" Doc asked as everyone started digging in.
