"Wake up!"

I hear yelling but I can't respond.

What is going on.

"Open your eyes!"

I try, but I can't.

Why can't I see?

"I'm only gonna ask one more time, 042!"

Did he just call me a number?

042?

"Do something you bafoons!"

I hear a door opening, is it my door?

Do I have a door?

Where even am I?

Why can't I remember anything?

Why can't I wake up?

At that very moment I felt the most intense pain I could have possibly imagined. I felt my heart skip a beat. What the hell just happened? "Shock him again!" I heard the enigmatic voice say. Whenever it speaks it sounds like it's coming from everywhere and nowhere all at once.

God Fucking Damnit!

I think they zapped me again. This time it was even more painful that the last. How can pain like this even be possible? And how am I even still asleep? I use all of my energy to even move one bit, but to no avail, I still cannot.

"Fine! Give him some adrenaline!"

Adrenaline?

How is that gonna wa.....

All of a sudden I feel a huge surge of energy. I feel like I could lift a truck. How do I remember what a truck is? Have I ever seen a truck before? Why can't I remember? Just then I open my eyes and see three men standing over me. One of them, a tall, husky man with a clean shaven face, he was holding a taser. The second was holding a needle. He was a bit shorter, and looked much younger. The third was tall and very sharply dressed. Maybe he was their leader? So many questions, too many questions. I just want to know where I am and what these people want.

Then, out of no where, I jump up and attack the husky man. I tackled him down to the ground. I was easily restraining him. Is it just the adrenaline? Or am I just incredibly strong? The shorter man tries to pull me off but fails as I shoved him so hard against a wall that he was knocked out. I also knocked out the one I was holding down with a single hit to the jaw. The last man had already ran out of the room. The door slid closed and turned from a glowing green color to a deep glowing red. I could here alarms sounding out in the hallway.

I start to pace about the room in search of clues as to what is going on. I decided to search the bodies to find anything useful. A gun! it appeared to be a .45 of sorts but I couldn't read the writing on the side. Was it in a different language? Or even worse, is it my language and I can't read it? I look at the wall beside the bed I had been on previously. There were a bunch of scratches on the wall. They looked like intentional marks, like someone was counting something. Days, perhaps? Oh God. Have I been here for this long? Where is here anyway?

On the shorter man I found some papers. In bold print on the front page there was one line of text. It looked like chicken scratches to me at first, but I started to focus really hard on the text and eventually was able to read it:

Experiment Personnel ID: 042

So I am part of some experiment? I opened the file and attempted to read more but it just seemed impossible. I felt like I was reading a different language. However I knew that it was mine. It felt like I was looking through a pair of spectacles that were meant for a person with severely detrimental vision. I wanted so badly to take off the metaphorical glasses that were preventing me from figuring out was was happening. I had an intense headache from the fighting and attempted reading. I felt like I was gonna pass out. What if I passed out and more men came to deal with me.

I need to hide this gun

At that moment I had a brilliant idea. I cut a whole in the mattress with a pen that one of the men was holding and put the gun in it. I then proceeded to flip over the mattress when all of a sudden I hear a click and the door behind me turned green. A swoosh and at least 5 men with assault rifles walk in and point their weapons at me. Luckily I had flipped over the mattress over just in time. Maybe they won't find the gun and I could figure out how to escape.

Crack!

I was knocked out instantly by the butt of one of their guns.
