Unexpectedly, he slipped off of the edge of the muddy cliff. Clutching the string of rope he had in hand, he plummeted; coming to an indirect, abrupt stop that brought piercing pain to his arms as he dangled about.
Anger swept along with more pain as he hung from the rope. A pure, fierce, savage, wave of emotion swept over him. He had completely lost his temper, and used that to his full advantage. He started to pull himself upward, trying to climb up the rope, using his anger as a leverage.
A muffled rumble escaped through his throat as was he slowly lost his grip. The inside of his palms were burning, and the pain felt almost unbearable. He felt as if he was about to pass out; and tried called out for help; but his voice was silenced by the sharp, piercing noise the rope snapping.
