The end of the work week meant knocking off early and getting into the weekend spirit for many, but for Payton not so much except dinner alone in a quiet restaurant while finishing some report or the other leaving no time for anything but climbing that corporate ladder since she didn't have any events to attend. She was a good looking woman and she knew it with her slender figure that most women dreamed of and long red hair that complimented her striking green eyes. She was the epitome of designer labels and always wore the latest fashion, hardly seen with the same outfit twice and always invited to the best parties hence her social status in most of the tabloids. She had been much of a loner all the days of her life according to the social tabloids and preferred to keep it that way hiding her dark side until that very night she saw what could compliment her glass of bourbon with a jawline for days.

He sat alone at the end of the bar staring at the empty glass in front of him. He looked as if he'd had a less than rough day and could do with the company of a woman.

He had on a clean cut navy suit and crisp white shirt rolled at the sleeves that screamed Armani, thick brown hair with flecks of gold brushed back and a pair of black spectacles that were way too big for his chiselled face but complimented his jawline perfectly.

Payton stared in awe at the beautiful man seated across the room and couldn't help but wonder what was his story and be intrigued enough to walk over to the bar and buy him a drink.
