Volunteering is F.U.N.!!

Prologue

"So I'm going to call out the names of some girls and they're gonna come with me to Mrs.Miller.", said Amy,an eleven grader.

Everyone shifted in their respective seats.Anticipation and excitement prevailed in the atmosphere of the class.Some of the students were biting their nails,some were whispering to each other and some were praying to God(Yeah,Think).

This was the moment of truth.The moment when the names of the girls who were selected for volunteering at St.Thomas Auditorium would be announced.

Almost everyone gave their names and so did I.I wouldn't want to miss this oppurtunity right? So i decided to become religious for once,prayed to God and hoped for the best.

"Ciena Parker,please come along with me",Amy said grinning.

Wait...what?!!

Did I hear correctly?!! Did she really say "Ciena Parker"? Out of all the other girls?? Me?!

I was shocked. I remained still for a moment.A minute or so later,I looked around the classroom,only to find forty-nine pairs of eyes glaring at me(it's scary).

yes....it really happened.

you were not dreaming stupid!!

you were selected as a volunteer!! Bloody Hell!!

I stood up from my seat and walked towards Amy.I still couldn't believe I was selected!!

A smile appeared  on Amy's face as I neared her.

"Congratulations Ciena! You are selected as a volunteer for World Dance Day!!",said the over-excited Amy.

A big smile appeared on my face too!! I was selected!!! Yippeee!!

Oh!!!Before I start blabbering about how excited I was for being selected as a Volunteer,let me introduce myself to you.

I am Ciena Parker. I am a fourteen

year old(soon to be fifteen) teenage girl.I'm not that tall,I'm 5'3"(sigh).I have an olive complexion.My figure's kinda okay...Not like  Victoria's Secret Model kinds of(sighs again).I love Music!! other than that,I love sports,Sleeping,Internet,My laptop,Books(I'm not a nerd though),T.V. and.....FOOD!!! I'm a die hard DIRECTIONER too!

I'm not that beautiful.Guys don't die for me(I wonder if anyone even looks at me).The only thing good about me is probably my hair(I have received a hell lot of compliments on that),naturally straight and long.So basically I'm Nothing.I know I seriously need to move my lazy ass to become something,but even after knowing that,I don't move it.I'm just tooo lazy.My bad.

So,I went along with Amy to Mrs.Miller. I was sooo damn excited!God!!! I asked Amy a lot of things on our way like which school's were gonna be coming,how many more volunteers were selected,who were they and SO ON(pardon me I was too curious for this thing okay?)

Please See-I blabber a Hell lot(usually useless stuffs).

I got to know that only five girls were selected for volunteering from Grade Ten.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!",I asked Amy,literally shocked.

"No I'm not babe",she said smiling.

Me=shocked

Breathe Ciena Breathe!!

you don't wanna die like this do you?

calm down....calm down.....

"Okay...I've gotta be lucky", I said, pretending to keep calm.

"You are Ciena and you should know that!",Amy said giving me a quick wink.She looked hot whenever she did that(Don't get me wrong! I'm not Bi or Homo!).

We went to Mrs.Miller,who was sitting on a chair with her right leg on top of her left leg in the school hall.

"Okay ladies,I want to tell you about your duties for volunteering,but before that,let me inform you that you all are really lucky.IT'S LIKE ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE",said Mrs.Miller,putting emphasis on the last sentence.

Seriously Mrs.Miller?!

Once in a lifetime chance?!

I tried to smile my best at her stupid comment.

We were told everything about the duties for volunteering.Mrs.Miller clearly instructed us to "Behave"(as if we don't).

My co-volunteers,fortunately,by God's grace,were my Best Friends(I was really happy since they were not in my section and because of this  we could stay atleast  together for one event!Yeah,Poor me).

"Yay!!! We're gonna be together Ciena!!!",Lauren exclaimed.

Lauren Davis was one of my best friend.She's very pretty and she's very good from heart.I love her,but I love her more because she's a DIRECTIONER just like me!! We fangirl a hell lot! Last but not the least,we do weird shit sometimes(crazy as we are).

"I know babe!!! I'm too excited for this event!",I said happily.
