We were out wandering aimlessly passing time on the last night in our city after we had (or at least I had, mostly they had just watched in terror) completely stuffed ourselves with ice cream, when I noticed something was off. Not something big, more like a feeling. Since I was ahead of them all I got there first. There was a large but strangely silent crowd around the board with all the notices on it.There on the board was a message. "All residents of colonia and surrounding areas will be subject to screening to check for supernatural traits/characteristics". Oh no! It really is happening! I spun around to tell Rhyder but he was already reading it. He didn't seem surprised just disappointed, Gracelyn and Eric too. With that ominous note on our minds we all headed back to the Rosette.

It was around 3 in the morning. We had all packed what we needed for the next day but I just couldn't sleep. I knew I should've because we were going to need our strength for tomorrow but I just couldn't. Instead I decided to go for a walk to see the city just one more time and to clear my head. As I was walking along I got a strange feeling. Again. Before I could react there was a towering wall of muscle in front of my with a knife at my throat. Well shit. This sucks. Gods dammit. Were some of the thoughts running through my head, others were, holy shit he's gorgeous -that's right, he-, wow he's tall and my personal least favourite, hot damn that body. Before I could react in any way we had flipped me over his broad shoulder. Smashing my face against his back in the process -ugh- and putting an arm firmly around my legs to keep me from being able to kick him he then said " so, little werewolf, where's your pack?" Dayum that accent! But oh shit he knows what I am! Well, at least partly. But how? Only another werewolf could tell that! Oh shit! If he's another werewolf then imma put a knife in his head... or other parts. NOBODY can know I'm alive, they'll kill me if they find out! "What do you mean? I have no pack. Oh and also what's your name you ass" now you might find this a strange request but I have known the name of every person I've ever killed. And trust me, if I get my way he's not making it out of this encounter alive." "Well well well, looks like someone's feisty."he said " damn right I'm feisty now PUT ME DOWN! I yelled." Oh, but if I put you down you'll run away my darling." Well obviously, i mean really, does he think I'm just gonna stand there? " put me DOWN! And tell me your name!" "Fine darling, my names Kai. But I'm not putting you down until you tell me that I can come with you and your little group of friends to get away from here"he stated. " I have a name! And I'm not the one who makes those decisions! You'd have to ask Rhyder" I said none too nicely. " well then darling why don't you tell me your name?" He asked " and show me where this Rhyder is." "Fine!" I snapped." My names Theresa. And he's at the Rosette. But if you think you'll make it in there alive unless you put me down you are sorely wrong." I said dramatically. " Well, Theresa" he drew out my name "how about this. Once we can see the rosette I will put you down,deal?" He asked. "Fine!" I replied exasperated.

Once we could see the Rosette he set me down as promised and I led him to Rhyder. After taking his knife and the gun that was in his waistband. When we got up to the office and I woke him up Rhyder just glared at me and told me to wait outside the door, so pretty much he didn't want me to go far incase things went bad. It was quite some time and a lot of yelling matches later that they came out and Rhyder said something that, I didn't know it yet but would change my life,for better or worse, forever. " I have decided, that Kai can come with us if he keeps up his end of the bargain. He claims he can sense when the guards are near. If he can help keep us safe we will keep him along. If not. He goes." He said while looking me in the eye.
