Chapter 1 Surprise !!!

Dear Diary,
                  It's my sixteenth birthday and.....

Before I could continue my phone rings .  I fished around on my unmade bed until I finally found it. ''Hey Vicki , wassup ?'', I asked my best friend . '' Happy Birthday Em!!'', she screams in my ear nearly leaving me deaf . '' Thanks'', I said . ''Wanna come over I have a surprise for you '', she says in a mysterious tone. ''Sure I'll be there in 10 '', I said while jumping from my bed. ''Bye see yah '', she says then ends the call . I placed my feet in my converse and flew the door of my bed room open and ran down the stairs . ''Mom I'm heading over to Vicki's be back by three !! '', I shouted . '' I'm going to the supermarket to get some stuff and your father will be coming as well so maybe we'll pick you up'', said my mom her voice trailing from the kitchen . "Okay ", I said before shutting the front door . I walked to the bus stop which wasn't far from my house . I took a bus that stopped directly in front of my best friend's house. The bus ride felt like days but in reality it was only thirty minutes.

I exited the bus and walked across the road  to Vicki's house which was painted light blue . I rang the bell but there wasn't a response . I rang it once more but to my surprise no one came . I then realized the door was unlocked and decided to go inside. I turned the knob in order to close the door then suddenly there was a loud outburst . "Surprise !! " , shouted a bunch of people whom I couldn't see because the room was dark. The light quickly flicked on as if the person was reading my mind. I opened my mouth in otter shock I saw my best friend standing with her parents , her little brother and my friend Julie  the room was decorated with Christmas lights and birthday decorations. "Oh my God ", was the only word I could say because I was dumbstruck. I couldn't believe that Victoria McLean did this for me. "Happy birthday bestie ", she said wrapping me in a big hug. "Thank you so much ", I whispered in her shirt.  "Happy birthday day sweet heart ", said her mother with a genuine smile. Every one greeted me warmly including Vicki's five year old brother.

The party kicked off and it was epic. Julie and I danced until our feet hurt , Vicki and I laughed at her brother doing the moon walk until we had tummy aches , I ate cake until I was weak and Andrew , Vicki's brother  played Minecraft with me. When the party had officially ended Julie said her good byes and left while Vicki and I sat on the porch waiting on my parents to pick me up. While we were waiting I decided to start a conversation . " That was a wonderful party Vicki thanks so much ", I said with a smile . "Anytime ", replied Vicki returning the smile  . We sat in silence for about an hour.   I pulled out my phone to check the time it was four p.m. I waited another fifteen minutes then I decided to call my mom. The phone rang then it went to her voicemail : "Hey it's Fiona and you know what to do ". I quickly hang up  and tried again but it went straight to voicemail  just as it did  before. I tried to call Dad but his phone seem to be left at home. I began to get really worried . Vicki saw the look on my face and asked what's the matter. " I'm trying to call my parents but none of them seem to be answering my calls " was my response. "Maybe their phones have died or they are pretty busy fixing something nice for you ", she said trying to reassure me. For a minute it helped but then I became worried again.   Another hour flew by before I even winked . I had tried calling my mother almost thirty​ times but she's not picking up my calls . The dark blanket began to spread across the sky and the time became really chilly. "Maybe their going to pick you up tomorrow ", she said. "No, mom would have told me that ", I said sounding like a wiery mouse. "Come let's go inside because it's getting really chilly out here", she said while shivering. I agreed because I was actually freezing . We sat in the living room for hours. I began to feel drousy , my eyes felt heavy and before I knew it I was fast asleep.

               
Hello everyone I'm  Gabrielle y'all can call me Gabby or Shans  . I am the writer of this book and my ideas or straight from my brain . If anything sounds familiar with another book or real life situation it's just a coincidence. BTW this is my first book and I'm super excited . Any mistakes please don't bash me with it , I accept criticism not rude comments .
