"Why can't you just accept that we've moved and get on with your life Stacy? Everyone else has, but you continue to live in the past." My sister her bedroom door in my face. I moaned. She always insisted in making a big deal out of nothing. And I can tell you, what I said was nothing. I had asked her if she missed her old friends and boyfriend, and then this had happened.
"Drama queen Cath!" I yelled at her and wandered back to my new room, nearly getting lost on my way. When I had gotten back I lay on my bed and stared at my celing. I quickly got bored and got back up. I searched through my many boxes looking for something to read. I finally found a book and cleaned up the mess I had made. I grabbed my phone and lay on my bed reading.
My mom knocked on the door after at least a sentence.
"Stacy! The neighbors are over to meet you! Get out of your room and make friends." I hastily got up from bed. It was always 'Stacy this, Stacy that' at my house, and to me, it was pretty excessive.
"Sure mom." I sighed and walked down the stairs. As soon as I got downstairs I noticed the girl leaning against the wall, not looking any more happy than me to be here. I walked towards her. With her pink strip in her hair, ripped jeans, and combat boots on, she didn't look exactly friendly.
"Hi, I'm Stacy," I said hesitantly.
"Let's cut to the chase, I don't want to be here, you don't want to be here, yada yada yada." I laughed. She was too right.
"Well, I have to agree with you." I looked her over again. Her hair was probably not really black but then again, mine wasn't really red. "It was nice meeting you, whatever your name is." I said sarcastically and walked away.
"You too." She said, sounding completly bored. I could see why, so far this place looked like a big snooze-fest.
"Stacy, invite your new friend to dinner!" Yelled my mom from the kitchen.
"Would you-"
"No." Wow. Rude much? She turned around and opened our front door. "If you need anything. I live directly across the street. Don't contact me." She walked off and slammed the door behind her. I turned around and walked to the kitchen.
"Is she going home to get something?" Asked my mom. She was making spegetti, my favorite.
"She's not coming,"
"What's her name?"
"I don't know." I replied plainly.
"Well go over to her house and ask her,"
"Ugh! Why do I have to??"
"Because its polite and you have to live next to her. Now go!" She ordered.
"She won't say yes, but fine." I mumbled and shoved my feet into my converse. I pulled on my jacket and walked out the door, slamming it on the way out. I heard mom talking to my dad through the screen door as k walked off
"I'm really worried about her, you know. She's lost her only friends." I growled and kicked one of our creepy smiling garden gnomes. It still grinned at me, even when it lost its leg to my foot.
"Creep." I spat and walked off to the neighbors house. I knew this was a bad idea, she even told me 'dont contact me'. I walked a cross the street to the house that she said was hers. I knocked.
"Who is it?" Said an old creecky voice.
"I'm the new neighbor, from across the street." The door unlocked and opened. An old lady with a lot of wrinkles and a crutch was standing there.
