Grasping for Air

Here I go.

I inhale with my eyes closed for as long as I could hoping to pop up somewhere different. I always hoped for that,but it never seemed to work. I formed a fist with my hands, and exhaled. "Summer!" people shout my name non-stop. I kept walking for I had not known who called on me. I think to myself all that could go wrong and all the things that led up to this day, I thought for a long time and I was deep in my thoughts " if my mom never gave birth to me, this would've never happened...what if I see someone from my past..what if-" I snapped out as a male, with eyebrows so thick, lips so well-rounded, face so symmetrical and skin so chocolate resembling walked by. I could've possibly fell if this Amber girl hadn't walked by. "Summer, That's Jayden, he runs track and i could put you on," What is it with these kids, I don't even know her. Starting to think of it I've never seen her before and therefore it is quite awkward how she knows my name. I didn't answer so she continued," I'm Amber by the way, Amber Rose that is, and you must be the new girl that the jocks keep talking about," she spoke so rapidly"-lets go see them now." It was final that this girl was freaking me out. She seemed like an undercover agent, assigned to bring me in as a mission.

 "Umm... " I started.

"It's okay, high school is not always this weird." She explained.

I had 15 minutes to find my first period class and have yet to get my schedule. I knew where everything was so I didn't ask her for help but of course, she tagged along.

"So where are you from?"

"Arkansas." I tried making conversation short.

"Don't you think it's weird how Kansas and Arkansas and not pronounced anywhere near the same way!"

I ignored her realization, if that's what I would even call it, and asked the lady at the front desk for my schedule. 

My classes were annoying and the jocks wouldn't stop talking to me, I liked the fact that making friends was so easy but I'm not fully awake until 10:00 AM.

As i waked to the cafateria, amber caught up to me. She practically, screamed in my ear, "We have lunch together! Oh my goodness," I started liking Amber she was full of energy and joy. 

After getting our lunch, the jocks called me over, yes, just me. I couldn't leave amber alone so i told Amber to toughen up and sit next to Jake Tombinson, her crush. She wouldnt walk so i dragged her. I wanted to sit next to Jayden Phacifio, but two guys rushed to sit by me as i waved at him and motioned him to sit near me. We ended having lunch together and I think I'll have a great year. Today wasn't too bad . Then I feel my bag shake, I look back and it's Jayden. "Hey beautiful" he smirked.

Oh my god, he just said that to me?!?!? His dimpled face made it a hundred more times heart-warming and body melting. " Hi, you're cute" Why would I say that. Im dumb.

"yeah, can I get all your social platforms" he rubbed my shoulder. It was like a spell, i just handed him my phone.
