When he was finished we went back into my room and just talked. It was surprising how we just clicked, he was just so easy to talk to.
"Did I already tell you how stunning you are" he says as he bites his lip.Mind you we are both sitting on the bed so I'm obviously freaking out. "Yeah you did,I mean I'm not complaining". I could feel that I was blushing a little or maybe a lot. He looked down then smiled,"Good someone needs to remind you of that" he says as he looked back at me. He slowly leaned in to try to kiss me but I stopped him. I'm so stupid why didn't I let him kiss me. "Oh I'm sorry I thought you...um" he said.
"I'm sorry it's just I'm not really...over my ex I'm so sorry"
"You're ex?"
"Yeah". Suddenly this conversation got so awkward.
"You know what here is my number call me when you're over your ex"
He said as he wrote his name on a piece of paper and handed it to me.
Just as Carter was walking out my mom walked in.
"Oh hey guys, did you have fun" my mom asks
"Yeah totally" I didn't mean it sarcastically I really did have fun.
"Oh well Carter your mom is leaving, it was nice to meet you though"
"It was nice to me you too miss" Carter replies
He turns around to me and mouths call me. I could feel my self blush a little. Just like that Carter walks out of my room.
"He's cute" my mom whispers
"Mom oh my god stop" i tell her while laughing.
Next Day
I stayed home from school today because I was sick. At least now I have time to call Carter, he's probably at school anyways. I don't even know why I told him I wasn't over my ex. I was over him the moment I dumped him. I guess it's just my trust issues.
Later On In The Day
My best friend Catherine calls me just to fill me up in what happened at school. She always does that when I miss a day of school.
"Ok great news today" she says
"Spill"
"Ok there are rumors going around that there's a new kid but he skipped during first period so not that many people know how he looks"
Could it be Carter?
"What was his name?"
"I think it was like Adrian or something"
Oh ok thank God.
"Are people saying he's cute?"
"You don't even know"
"Oh well I'll see tomorrow, bye"
"Bye (Y/N)"
