Fionna pushed the blanket off of her, and her sudden movement alerted Marshall. His head shot up and he looked over at the human girl curled up on his bed.
“Hey,” he said, flying over from his perch on the window. “Are you feel any better?”
“Yeah,” she replied.
Marshall threw some clothes at her. “Go get ready. We’re going out.”
Fionna frowned. “Where are we going?”
“Somewhere. Now go change.”
Marshall exited the room, shutting the door behind him. Looking at the clothes he gave her, Fionna pulled on a pair of dark blue acid washed skinny jeans and a black band shirt, then a black hoodie. She pulled on her black Vans and walked out of the room.
“Where are we going, Mar?” she asked, jumping on his back. Marshall rolled over in the air, and she flopped down on the carpet.
“Well I was going to tell you, but since you called me Mar, I think I’ll keep the location to myself.”
“NO!”
He laughed. “Too late.”
Grabbing his umbrella, Marshall motioned for Fionna to follow him.
“Let’s go Fi.” They walked out the door, heading towards the forest. As soon as they passed the first couple of trees, Marshall pulled out a blindfold and covered her eyes.
“Is this really necessary Marshall?” Fionna asked, feeling a bit nervous.
He frowned. “Don’t you trust me?”
“Well, yes, but I’d rather not run into a tree.”
“You’ll be fine.” Marshall laughed as he moved behind her, grabbing her shoulders. He could easily steer her around any obstacle that came in their way, and marched her to his little hideout. He excitedly took off her blindfold.
Fionna gasped. “This place is mathematical Mar! (A/N: I hope I used that correctly…haven’t don’t this in a while.) How did you find it?”
Marshall shrugged. “I like flying. And plus, I needed a place to work out.”
Fionna walked around the clearing, absorbing all of the sights. There was a small pond in one corner, and Marshall’s workout things were spread around.
Marshall smiled, tucking his thumbs into his pocket. “I thought you’d like it. Anyway, you can come here whenever you need to think. There’s a small area next to the pond that’s nice and quiet. Hopefully when we walk back, you can remember how to get here.”
Fionna smiled. “Thanks bro.”
“Anything for you Bunny. Now, let’s get you home. Cake’s bound to get worried.”
With Marshall’s ability to fly, it didn’t really take that long to get home. Fionna just had to hold his umbrella, which she didn’t really care for.
“You got some food Fi?” Marshall asked as he sat on the couch. “I would get it but it’s so far…” He reached for the fridge weakly and fell over. Fionna raised her eyebrow. He gave her a pleading smile.
Fionna sighed, opening the fridge. “We have some strawberries that are still red. You cool with those?”
“Hell yeah.”
Cake walked into the room. “Oh hey sugar. Gumball called and asked if we could go to Castle Lemongrab and deliver these candy seeds.”
Fionna looked at Marshall. “You wanna come with?”
