ALRIGHT SO LETS TALK ABOUT MAGNUS CHASE AND THE SHIP OF THE DEAD RN. (ALSO HAPPY DIWALI MY INDIAN MOFOS #FELLOWGUJUHERE)
~First of all: FIERROCHASE IS CANON. I REPEAT. FIERROCHASE IS CANON. I mean, we all saw it coming, but you know. That was definitely my favourite part. THAT SCENE WAS SO CUTE AND MAGNUS WAS BLUSHING MY SWEET CHILD!! I want to know (Cause I'm kind of a PJO veteran now, been in the fandom for 5 years, y'know) how big this ship is gonna be? Like, you know, since HoT I've seen like, 5, maybe 6 GOOD fanfics on Fierrochase, y'know. Is it gonna blow up?? *fingers crossed*
~BLITZSTONE ISN'T. WHY THE FUCK NOT?! I DON'T- I MEAN- IS MAGNUS JUST BEING DENSE??! HE BETTER BE!
~Alright let's talk about the ending. So, me and cinnacorn2801 were talking about it and we both agree- WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE ENDING?! I mean, does anyone else feel like maybe Rick's PG demographic is restricting him? Cause like?? It was?? So?? Anticlimactic?? Like, his build ups are always SO dark?? But even his BOO ending?? I feel like he spends too much time on build up, and goes too dark?? Like, even in BOO, his build up was SO GOOD. There was so much going on. But? His ending?? Really?? And I was like 'Aright maybe it's a one time thing' but then this book was the same way? Like, really? He spoke good about his friends... And trapped Loki in a walnut -.- Really. Really??! Loki. LOKI. You're telling me that this guy, this GIANT, that even THOR, a GOD can't seem to defeat, can be INSULTED INTO A WALNUT.
~Continuing the build up thing. Like in BOO, Rick made SUCH interesting flaws for the characters, SUCH interesting ways to be deafeated, to develop, but then it's fizzled out in the end? Like, Loki being able to control Sam. I'd've LOVED to see Sam struggling as Loki tried to control her, but no. Suddenly, she's able to give Clapbacks to dear ol' dad. Frigg being Mallory's mom? Hardly matters at all. Like, I LOVE Uncle Rick, but honestly, don't go so deep if you can't follow through without bumping up the rating.
~I mean, I'm really happy we saw more of the rest of #Floor19squad, but I feel like because he had such a big cast, the characters remained kind of?? One dimensional? Besides Hearth, Magnus, Sam and Alex. (Alex not even that much) Frankly, ALL development suffered because Rick had too many characters.
~But you know, its Uncle Rick and I love him and though I could have brought up a million more things? I won't. Butttt you guys can! So you know. Lets start a discussion in the comments, cause I'd LOVE to talk.
