Chapter 18

Temari's POV:

We continued playing the game but I wasn't paying attention since Kiba and I kept talking. However I did notice that Shikamaru kept glaring at Kiba, I smiled to myself knowing Ino's plan worked. The game soon ended and everyone was getting up. As I was getting myself to stand, I saw how Kiba had his hand stretched out for me to grab. I didn't want to rude so I took his hand and he helped me up. But he pulled me with so much strength that our faces ended up inches apart. I felt my cheeks warm up from the embarrassing moment. I noticed from the corner of my eye Shikamaru's face turned sad and he had his fist clenched from anger. Then he turned around and ran off out the door, I felt my heart hurt at what I did to him. So I did what I had to do.

"Sorry Kiba, I have to go talk to Shikamaru," I said as I let his hand go.

Shikamaru's POV:

I stood there clenching my fist feeling irritated at what I just saw. I felt like punching Kiba but he didn't do anything wrong. So I ran off instead of letting my anger out on him. Then again it wasn't like they kissed. Oh, wait haha they did. I never what have guessed Temari would be the one breaking my heart. I try to smile through the anger I then realized I made it to a lake. The anger soon left my body as I look at the lake that I always passed but never paid attention. I then heard a very faint sound of my name being called. I shook off the thought thinking it my mind. But then it happened again, what if I'm being haunted I thought. But then I heard it my name being called out but it was getting closer little by little.

Nobody's POV:

Shikamaru then realized it was Temari who was calling his name. He didn't expect Temari to be the one coming after him, so he looked back at the lake and tried to act like he didn't care. Temari finally made it next to Shikamaru.

 "Did I do something wrong?" Temari asked but she knew why but she wanted him to say it. Shikamaru didn't say anything but kept quiet as he looked at the lake. 

"Could you please tell me?" She said as she looks at Shikamaru. 

"You did nothing," Shikamaru said as he looks back at Temari. 

"Then why did you run off?" She asked him as they both kept looking into each other's eyes.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, but the next chapter will be that last one. So prepare for the end.(>_<)(I didn't know what write about so yeah)
