One day, my life was suddenly enveloped in total darkness. Everything that gave light disappeared with a snap. I was a young girl, lost and afraid. I didnt know what to do. I tried screaming for help, but no voice came out. I wanted to cry but my eyes couldnt shed tears.
I was alone.
It felt like i was there for days. I kept running and shouting, hopping to find something, anything, but i couldnt. It was complete darkness.
With the last strength i had left, i closed my eyes and prayed someone or something would come and take me out of the darkness.
And as i did, a bright light came from a distance. And it came closer, and closer, and closer.
It called out my name with the most gentle voice.
"How did it know my name?" I thought.
Before i could speak, i found myself surrounded by light. The darkness was completely gone. Tears started to form in my eyes. I was so happy.
The voice called out again.
As my eyes adjusted to the light, i saw blurry figures looking at me.
They called out again in a more worried tone.
I just smiled.
I couldn't see their faces clearly but i didnt need to becuz i knew who they were.
