Blood dripped from my sister's mouth forming a small puddle of deep red liquid on the bed sheet. Her expression morphed into that of pure agony as she writhed into an unusual shape. "Don't go!" I screamed in terror her eyes slowly rolled to me as she stared at her soul clearly gone however she managed to form words.
"I won't, I promise." Her small raspy voice choked out. She tried to smile but instead it came out like a scowl as she once again cried out in pain. Her tiny hands clenched a fist full of blanket, her mouth forming the shape of someone screaming. Unsure on what do, all I could do was stand by her side as our parents were working. Motionless she laid on her bed her breathing turning shallow. Our parents work late hours to provide the medical care needed for her however it seems it was for no use. Staring at her I touched her forehead with the back of my hand. Her already hot temperature began to spike incredibly fast. Rubbing back her hair as it stuck to her forehead I inhaled dreading what may happen later. The weather outside has made it nearly impossible to contact our parents.
Even if I did, it'd take them at least five hours to get here. Glancing around anxiously for anything that may help. Thalia suddenly grabbed my hand her face in mine as she opened her mouth into that of pure agony and then she screamed. Covering my ears I felt my vision blur and my head felt like it was splitting. This wasn't no normal scream that much was obvious. Falling on my knees clutching my head I felt tears go down my face as the screaming lasted for another minute or two.
Then silence. Ears still ringing I slowly got to my feet and turned to Thalia to only stiffen. Laying on the bed Thalia had tears of blood trailing from her eyes and I could see blood dripping from her ears as her eyes stared blankly at me. She was gone. My sister's soul was gone. Her mouth was in the forever shape of a agonised scream. Hands trembling I reached out and stroked some of her hair from her face as I closed her eyes gently before falling on the floor sobbing. My throat felt tight and it kept tightening as grief over took me.
Opening my mouth I screamed in pure sadness. The scream didn't sound like mine it sounded more like my sister and then it came to me it wasn't my sister who had screamed... it was me. A sick feeling came over me as I glance back up at my now pale looking sister. Had I been the reason she died? Why did she grab me? These questions raced though my head as guilt and horror soon went through me.
Tap...Tap...Tap...Tap....Tap....Tap. The consant tapping noise pulled me from the darkness and made me glance up. Turning to the cause of the noise I felt my body tense up as I went numb and cold. Outside the window was my sister sitting on the branch her eyes were clear and she had a large grin on her face. Her hand was pressed against the window as she began to tap on the window once again. "Let me in." Her voice sounded barely above a whisper as I frowned.
Why couldn't she get in? Opening the window barely above two inches she appeared in her room out of nowhere making me jump. "I told you I wouldn't leave you didn't I?" She giggled as my vision blurred slightly however not enough for me to not realise there was two of my sister in this room. The one laying on the bed pale and motionless and the other who was walking around gracefully and just as pale who looked a lot better. My mind went blank as I collapsed into complete darkness.
