The Fall Poem - Short Story 5

Trees stand around me.

Leaves of many colors surround me

Red and Yellow

Brown and orange.

As I look up,

a leaf breaks off of the branch.

It falls gracefully down to the grass.

Twirling and swirling

Dipping and diving.

Swoosh.

It lands on the ground,

I pick up the leaf.

Its colors are red and gold

Its veins run into each other like two rivers

merging together to make one big one.

I throw the leaf into the air

and the wind blows it

Going

Going

and gone.
