A ear-splitting scream rang through the thick forest of trees. The wizard on the ground lay in the most pain he had ever felt in his whole 17 years of existence. The heartbeat in Harry Potter's ears were as loud as a siren. The feeling of being stabbed repeatedly on the side of his neck never did stop. The metallic taste of blood in his mouth felt like it was burning.
And then the pain ended. As did his screams. And the burning. And his heartbeat.
Harry was completely convinced he was dead. 100% dead. He wasn't wrong. As he tried to catch his breath,
he was flabbergasted at the fact he didn't have to.What even happened?
As he awkwardly stood up, he decided it would be best to head back to the burrow.
His walking turned into a run as he realized the sky had become a blacker than his hair.
Thoughts and questions flooded his mind like reporters, but it didn't help at all that he didn't have any answers.
The fact his running turned into the fasted movements his eyes have ever been able to see, his legs stopped moving as they were rooted to the spot.
His eyes widened, as he realized his eyes were staring straight into the burrow's door. How was he already there? Certainly no one could ever be that fast..
Harry opened up the door to see Ron and Hermione sitting at the table chatting to each other, giggling and laughing as the other said something amusing.
Their eyes flickered over to him and stared.
"Harry..?" Hermione asked, a terrified expression on her features.
"Uhh, yeah?" He asked, confused and concerned at her shaky tone of voice.
"Harry, your eyes are red..." Ron quickly said, his mouth hanging open a bit with wide eyes.
This was certainly news to Harry.
"Wait, what?" Harry questioned them, terrified at the sentence Ron spoke.
"What happened when you were gone?" Hermione asked, taking the situation a bit smoother than the frozen-faced Ron.
"I-I can't really remember.." He mumbled, feet standing in place.
"Well it certainly couldn't have been good, Harry, because you're covered in blood!" Ron blurred out, clearly suspicious with Potter.
"Blood..." The new red eyed Harry mumbled under his breath. "Can I get a mirror to see?.."
"Of course..." Hermione caught on.
She accioed a mirror and handed it to Harry.
Harry lifted it up to his face, clearly terrified of what the result would be. And there was nothing. Nothing at all.
"Uhh, umm, guys?" Harry spoke, nervous and fearful. He decided to go sit down.
"You can't see yourself can you...?"
Harry jumped at these words seeing that no one had moved their lips to say anything, yet Hermione's voice still spoke to him in his brain.
Both Ron and Hermione seemed to notice his weird way of acting all of a sudden. Harry looked up at her.
"Yes." He said, voice cleared. "Guys, I think I'm a vampire......."
***
Both Ron and Hermione's mouths were hung wide open. "You're not serious..." was all Ron could manage to get out.
