Sammy’s POV:

Flashback/dream

Burning flesh. That was all I could smell as I was trying to get out of the blazing pack house.

“Sammy!” I turned around to see my older brother, Jason, running towards me.

“Jason, what’s going on?” I asked. Being only 13 really sucks; I didn’t know what was going on because I was too young to be allowed into any pack meetings, even though my parents are Alpha and Luna. Jason was 16 and I was hoping he would answer my question, no one else would. Everyone was too busy running for their lives and gathering their families to answer my simple question.

“Sammy, we need to get out of here. Mom and dad are still fighting those damn rouges. They told me to find you and get you out of here. Come on, we need to leave to the safe house in Washington.” Jason said before shifting into his wolf and lowering himself so I could get on.

“But Jason! What about the rest of our family, our pack!” I cried out. My head was hurting from the fumes of the Blue Creek pack members running around on fire. My parents were the Alpha and Luna, how could they let this happen.

‘If anyone survives go to the pack house in Olympia, Washington.’ My dad said into our pack mind link.

‘Sammy, we need to go, get on now!’ Jason commanded through the mind link.

‘I’m sorry I couldn't help you.’ I thought to everyone before I got onto Jason’s back and he ran off in the direction of Washington from our house in Flagstaff, Arizona.
