6.25 AM.
I had just woke up.God damn it's so early. An annoying sound was coming out of my bedroom's window, probably my dog scratching it because he wanted food.
"Oscar?" I called, waiting for his bark for confirmation. No answer.
"Oscar little silly boy, is that you?" I called again , thinking that he may have gone too far away from the window, hopping up and down in excitement.
It was actually really strange the fact that he still hadn't replied, so I decided to make my way to the window to see.
I put on my cold slippers, stood up, wore my glasses and headed to the window. I opened it and looked outside, sure that Oscar was there.
He wasn't.
I called his name again.
"OSCAR?" I yelled. Something was wrong. I closed forcefully the window and ran to the living room to find in surprise my dog, sleeping deeply on his big round bed. I couldn't believe it. I was so sure it was him some minutes ago ,scratching the window with his nails.
Or wasn't he?
I let a silent sigh come out, thinking that it was just my mind messing with me, as it was really early. I returned to my bedroom. I couldn't get myself to sleep again until 7.30 that I would normally wake up to go to school, so I took the fluffy stool that was under my bed and sat down, in front of the huge window. I was holding my glasses with my hand. That was very strange. When did I remove them?
My nearsightedness wasn't helping, so I wore them again. For a short moment, I looked away from the window to put them on. Everything looked so clear for one more time.
I was enjoying the great view when I noticed the pavement was covered in water. I could see from the distance that all the trees were wet too. "How?I swear to God I didn't hear a single drop falling!" I mumbled. I was totally creeped out, finding it hard to stay calm. The water that had filled the street before's now going down the sewer.
I blinked once and suddenly everything was back to normal. The water was all gone, the pavement had dried, and the trees had dried too. That's the moment where things got serious. I shivered in the thought of something paranormal might be happening. (Y/n), it's just your thoughts. Just. Your. Thoughts. Stay calm, stay calm.
I looked at the clock. 7.29 A.M. It was finally time to get prepared for school. I stood up, put the stool in its' place and went back to close the wide-open window. I thought that a cold splash of water on my face would make things better. I made my way to the bathroom and covered my whole face with freezing cold water. I immediately felt so relaxed. The cool sensation was enough to make me feel myself again.
I went to my room, where I started getting dressed. I wore a pair of blue jeans and a pink loose pullover. I then put my hair in a bun, took my backpack and headed to Oscar.
"Goodbye my sweetie, I want you to be a good boy okay?" I asked knowing what he would do next. He barked, came next to me and licked my cheek.I kissed him on his head, stroke his back and went to unlock the door.
