JESUS: Good morning, children.
ALL: Good morning, Jesus.
JESUS: What shall we do today?
LIBBY: Can we play a game?
LARRY: Play a game! Play a game!
LUCY: Let’s play hide and go seek.
LARRY: I don’t want to play hide and go seek.
LUCY: Why not?
LARRY: The last time we played hide and go seek, we couldn’t find you for three days.
LUCY: Isn’t that the point?
LARRY: Let’s play charades.
LUCY: I don’t want to play charades.
LARRY: You’re just mad at me because I don’t want to play hide and go seek.
LUCY: That’s not it at all.
LARRY: Then what’s wrong with charades?
LUCY: You’re terrible at charades.
LARRY: No, I’m not. (gets down on all fours) What am I?
LUCY: A dog.
LARRY: (still down) Now what am I?
LUCY: A duck.
LARRY: (still down) Bet you can’t guess this one.
LUCY: A bird.
LARRY: (stands, defeated) Beginner’s luck.
JESUS: What game do you want to play, Libby?
LIBBY: Father May I?
LARRY and LUCY: Father May I? (groans) Oh, man. Do we have to?
JESUS: That’s a wonderful idea. All right, then. Everyone line up.
(Larry pushes Lucy as they line up.)
LUCY: Hey, he pushed me.
LARRY: Did not.
LUCY: Did too.
LARRY: Did not!
LUCY: Did too!
JESUS: Children, why all this bickering?
LUCY: Sorry.
LARRY: Yeah, what she said.
JESUS: Lucy, you may go first.
LARRY: Why does she get to go first?
LUCY: Because I’m His favorite.
LARRY: Are not.
LUCY: Are too.
LARRY: Are not!
LUCY: Are too!
JESUS: How many times must I remind you, children, there are no favorites as far as I’m concerned. I love all of you just the same.
LARRY: Sorry.
LUCY: Yeah, what he said.
JESUS: Are we ready to begin?
LARRY, LUCY & LIBBY: Yes.
