Life is Never Fair

Back Home?

Days pass by and I'm looking out the window and I see the land I was once a queen at. My past home well it was my only home. I look back and I see Killian sound asleep on the bed and I smile. Could it be possible to come back to my old life and live like a royal again.

I'm looking out the window and I feel someone touch me from behind. I grab the person's arm and flip him over. I gasp when I see the person laying on the floor, it was Killian. "I'm sorry love." He half smiles. "It's ok, I just forgot that I can't get close to you without you knocking me over." I sigh as I help him up. "I'm sorry love, it's just a defense mechanism I have." He nods.

"Well that's a surprise because just a couple of days ago you were nearly dead." I nod. "Yeah well I can't be bound to bed forever, on the island more days resting meant more opportunity to be overruled and for someone to hurt Leía and Liam." He shakes his head. "I am so sorry love, I still can't get over everything that you went through."

I half smile. "Ehh it's ok." He leans into me and is about to kiss me when the door opens, it was Elsa. "I'm sorry for interrupting, Killian I was wondering if you wanted to have breakfast." Killian backs away and walks over to the door. "Yes I would love some, please make sure aqua along with the kids get food, I'll be over in a sec." She nods and closes the door.

I scoff. Even though Elsa seemed like a good person I couldn't help but be jealous. Killian walks up to me and tries to caress me but I back away. "Emma I know this isn't easy." I sigh. "I know it isn't, I just can't help the fact that you're not mine anymore." He sighs.

"It's not like that." I sigh. "She's carrying your baby." He sighs. "Emma..." I shake my head. "It's ok, you guys can be rulers, I just want a better life for Liam and Leía." He sighs. "And Aqua, She's our daughter too." I nod. "Yeah, her too." He sighs.

"Emma we can give them a better life together, you just need to let me be their father again and be your husband." I look out the window and sigh. I then backed away. "Your wife is waiting to eat breakfast with you." Killian sighs. "Emma.." I went back to the bed and he walked out of the room. I know I should be more understanding but this is a difficult situation.

Time passes by and we finally made it back to our land. I made my way up to the deck and I see Leía and Liam with big smiles on their faces. This was a new world for them of course they would be excited. We made our way towards the carriage and someone tried to take Leia's hand to help her and she hissed.

I quickly rushed over to her and I smiled at the palace guard. "I'm sorry, she's just not used to this," I say then sigh. "How about you and Liam stay by my side." She gives me a confused look. "But mom you said if anyone touches you without asking I needed..." I sigh as I grabbed her hand.

"Things will be a lot different here." She nods but still looks confused as can be. I know it will take a while for them to adjust I just hope they will be ok with it. We all got into the carriage and Killian gave me a weird look. "What?" He looks out the window and I just brushed it off.

Minutes passed by and we got off the carriage. The twins were so mesmerized by everything they couldn't keep their eyes off of the palace walls. "Mom this used to be your home?" Liam asks. I smile and nod. "Yup this was and is now our new home." He smiles.

Killian tries to grab my hand but I push it away. Aqua noticed and I ran towards the twins who were in front of us. The doors open and I see my parents. "Mom, Dad?" They gasp and I ran towards them and gave them a big hug. "Oh my sweet baby girl," my dad says. I'm crying like crazy and they both hug me even tighter.

"Emma?" I over hear a familiar voice say. "Leilani?" She nods and I let go of my parents. "I thought you lived somewhere else?" Killian then nods. "Yeah you haven't talked to us." She scoffs. "I don't want to talk to you just Emma." She then hugs me. "Oh Emma it's been so long." I smile and nod. "Yes it has been."

"Look at you, you have little ones." She smiles. That's when we hear a loud bang. Leía, Liam and I quickly react and we get in our huddle and hiss. I quickly tried to reach for my spear but it hit me that I didn't have it and that we weren't at the island. I sigh and everyone just gave us a weird look. "I'm sorry...." Leía and Liam were still standing in attack mode and I stopped them.

Killian walked in front of us and sighed. "Remember they've been out in the wilderness, they will need time to adjust themselves again to civilization." I nod. "I'm sorry." They all had concerned looks on their faces. My parents along with Leilani leave to give us time to get settled in.

"Aqua take your brother and sister to their rooms," Killian says and I give them a nod. They walk alongside Aqua and disappear into the corridor. That's when Killian comes up to me. "Come on Love, lets go to our room." I don't say a word and made my way to the bedroom.

We walked in and memories of my earlier life with Killian started to play in my mind. I couldn't help but smile. That's when he comes behind me and starts to kiss my neck. I closed my eyes and continued to smile. That's when it hit me that he's having a baby with Elsa and I pull away from him.

Killian sighs. "Emma I'm sorry but please let's work this out." I walk up to the window and look out at the kingdom. "I don't belong here anymore, so go have a good life with Elsa and Aqua, my children and I will go somewhere else." He scoffs. "Liam and Leía are my children too, and you along with them are staying here." I start to cry and I run out of the room.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to live like this. Maybe it was best to stay on that island... and maybe with Shane.
